In this post I'll be sharing with you 5 ways to improve your Read.Cash articles. The techniques listed here can also be used for articles - in general - such as those you post on your blog or website.

Give your articles a short introduction as matter of courtesy

At the top of each article, give a brief summary of what you're going to write about. This gives the person reading - the option - to either leave your article or continue reading which is quite courteous. The good thing about brief summaries is that they show up on most feeds, which means they provide a great opportunity to attract readers.

Use horizontal lines

When the topics in your article change, use horizontal lines to let your readers know. If your content is organised, your readers won't have to do much work when trying to absorb your information. Also, horizontal lines notify readers that it's okay to take a 2-3 second break.

Use headers

Headers highlight the key points in your articles and allow readers to return to the key points of their choice. When there's the option of returning to key points, it is more likely that your article will be read more than once or downloaded. When you use headers, your articles become more than just as a casual read. They become reference tools.

Use high quality images

Maybe you have an amazing shape and you're someone that works hard on your fitness. That's all great, but if you're wearing poor quality clothes that are dirty and which have holes in them, your hard work is going to be pretty much spoiled. No one is really going to pay much attention to you.

In the same way, an article can have brilliant content, but if you dress it up with poor quality images you might scare people off. Not everyone is superficial, however, pixelated images may make people think, if the quality of the images are rubbish then so too must be the writing. Don't ignore the power of perception and presentation.

Provide information and links about sources

When writing about facts use sources and links to strengthen your arguments and claims. This is especially useful when writing about science. Don't just assume that people are going to believe what you're saying - because in many cases they're not.

If I said to you that there aren't more than 5 billion people living on planet Earth (something actually untrue), you'd probably be thinking in your head where I got those statistics from. You'd want to see statistics provided by a respected authority before taking my word. If you're using any type of statistics, back up your claims using reputable sources. The more reputable sources, the better.

These are just 5 strategies that have been helping me shape my articles. I believe they've been pretty successful, as they've helped me get 65 new subscribers in a week.
