Rohingya Exodus

The Rohingya are minority community living in Rakhine state,Myanmar.There were around million Rohingya living in Myanmar before the 2016-17 crisis.On 22 October 2017,according to the United Nations,around 603,000 refugees from Rakhine,Myanmar had crossed the border into Bangladesh since August 25,2017.This number increased to 624,000 by November 2,2017 and over 625,000 by December 6,2017.Besides,almost everybody more Rohingya people are entering Bangladesh.This is really a huge Exodus of Rohingyas from Myanmar to Bangladesh.The majority of them are Muslim while the minority of them are Hindu.They are one of the most persecuted minority communities in the world.The Rohingya people are denied citizenship under the 1982 Myanmar Nationality Law.They are restricted from freedom of movement,state education and civil service jobs.So,they were bound to leave Myanmar and take shelter in Bangladesh and other neighbouring countries.They set up temporary camps in different areas of fox's Bazar.It is because the long term stay of the Rohingya people in Bangladesh will put heavy pressure on her economy.
