The title of this writing is very broad and lends itself to many interpretations and diverse actors. But I will be a little clearer in what I write, and that is that I speak about those e-commerce giants that have been strengthened in this period of pandemic and by how the future looks, this condition is still far from changing, much less end up.
Companies such as Amazon, eBay, Alibaba are part of that chain of electronic commerce companies whose logistics arm has put them at the forefront of a not so new work and business system, but with the innovation and economic power they possess, they have greatly revolutionized this way of managing and advancing business development with third parties without direct intervention.
With this system and under the conditions that we now face due to covid-19, it is not at all strange that electronic commerce has gained more strength, being one of the sectors with impressive profits and literally making its owners richer. This successful company model has an idea in a pandemic that reinforces its foundations with technologies that point to a complete monopoly in the planning and logistics of its operations.
But now it remains to wonder if this business strategy will be enough for these platforms or if it is just a matter of pandemic. The truth is that so much innovation has its limits, since none of these giants still accept cryptocurrencies as a form of direct payment. All have had a timid exchange of confusions that have only increased the questions of whether the future of these businesses will point to cryptography as a way of diversification and inclusion.
Although, we know a lot that there is no official position to be studying this type of association, but hope is not lost with industries such as Amazon or eBAy, let's just look at the example of Pay Pal, which although it is not in the same business, its acceptance becomes very important, as an institution, it has a weight in the fundamentals that have made the crypto world a scenario of more seriousness in its arguments and an alternative route, very emphatic, in assuming a change for the financial system.
The vision of these businesses, now that they have a privileged position in relation to the competition, the little that remains, is simply to go towards innovation and development, knowing that technology is essential now that the world is changing and that we are living a new automated reality .
In my humble opinion and with the constant "surprises" that abound now more than ever in the world, it is a matter of time before Amazon, eBay, Alibaba and other giants finish directly accepting crypto. This would be a resounding victory against the system and would demonstrate the need to find a new system that is more equitable, of course, one with a new form of payment that fuels development and not abandonment. That is why, by 2021, what will these giants do, then adapt or move away because cryptos do not stop anyone.
