The European Parliament has cryptocurrency and unequal proposals.

In parallel with the conflict in Ukraine, the European Parliament is continuing its personal and silent war against cryptocurrency with a new fund transfer regulation.

If just a few days ago, we were surprised to see the possibility of banning crypto with proof-of-work consensus protocols, now they are going one step further and going against what they call "unhosted wallet", or the same, non-custodial wallet.

Basically what they want is for KYC to make it mandatory for any non-custodial wallet to block the movement of incoming or outgoing non-hosted wallets (excluding minimum amounts) of crypto assets for exchange, which cannot be associated with a normal person.

Like good politicians, they delegate the responsibility of collecting relevant information from each anonymous wallet to the exchange that seeks to communicate with the services they provide. This way they ensure that we can trace our movements in the blockchain with names and titles at zero cost.

Over time, this measure will make an anonymous wallet virtually useless, unless its owner knows how to prove the source of the funds deposited in it.

Everything indicates that the restrictions are intended not to prohibit the use of cryptocurrencies, but not at zero cost, they will allow them in exchange for information, not only loss and gain, but also control the movement of crypto assets.

As the vote for its approval by the EU Parliament is set for 31 March, COINBASE is collecting signatures to try to get our voice against the move. If you think such activities are useless, I would like to remind you that the suspension of the ban on crypto PoWs was intended to stop the same kind of action. It all adds up.

I leave you the link if you want to cooperate:
