Wat Rong Suea Ten (Blue Temple) - a Temple or an Lunapark? - Thailand, my journey through Asia "Suea Ten" or the Blue Temple, literally translated into Thai means "dancing tiger". It was probably due to the fact that in the past this area was inhabited by wild tigers. At the site of the present Blue Temple, there were ruins of a former temple that was abandoned over 100 years ago. The reconstruction of the temple began only in 2005 and took 11 years. The Blue Temple is the smallest of the three known temples in the Chiang Rai area. But after the white temple it makes the biggest impression in the area, thanks to its colors.
