Hello dear readers, I am new to Read Cash, a friend recommended it to me and said that it is a great platform ... Today I will write to you about Robotics ...

French has just approved the development of bionic warriors, while the United States, China and Russia have been "advancing" their armies in various ways for decades.

Soldiers with superpowers - enhanced senses, superhuman strength, incredible speed, ability to jump even a few meters ... - have long been just an interesting topic for science fiction books, movies and comics. However, today they exist. And not only in some vague plans of comic book evil geniuses, but in the laboratories of the leaders of the military industry.

The incredible progress of science in the last half century has made it possible to turn soldiers from blood and flesh into indestructible killing machines. And experiments by which world powers "improve" their warriors, which until recently was the biggest secret, have become something that is being talked about more and more publicly.

Great recognition

Thus, only two weeks ago, the Ethics Committee of the French Ministry of Defense gave the green light for the development of bionic soldiers, writes the BBC. - Human beings have long been looking for ways to increase their physical and cognitive abilities for the sake of war. Possible improvements could lead to changes in the bodies of soldiers. Pills for long-term vigilance of soldiers and improvement of hearing are investigated, as well as implants that release sedatives or improve brain capacity. Drugs are also being studied that allow soldiers to more easily endure pain or strengthen their mental resistance to torture in the event of capture. Implant research is also underway, which enables the command to read the psychophysical parameters of soldiers from a distance or to locate them on the battlefield. Other implants can help soldiers distinguish between friends and enemies, according to a report by the Ethics Committee, parts of which were published by the BBC.

Immediately after listing the various possibilities for creating super soldiers, this committee also stated that "it is necessary to draw clear ethical lines that prohibit eugenic and genetic practices in research to improve the performance of French soldiers." However, with the green light for further research, France did not really draw those ethical lines, but just announced that it would violate them and become another in a series of countries working on creating "terminators in uniform". The armies of the United States of America, Russia and China have been working on that for a long time.

Beijing's dominance

- Intelligence is clear: Beijing intends to dominate America and the rest of the planet economically, militarily and technologically. Many Chinese initiatives and companies are just one layer of camouflage in the activities of the Communist Party of China. Intelligence has shown that China is even testing members of the People's Liberation Army to create soldiers with biologically enhanced capabilities. There are no ethical boundaries when it comes to China's power struggle, wrote John Ratcliffe, director of the US National Intelligence Service, in an author's text in the Wall Street Journal.

American scientists Elsa Kanya and Wilson Warndick recently published a scientific paper in which they dealt with the Chinese use of biotechnology in the army. - The Chinese national strategy of military-civilian merger pointed out biology as a priority. China is not alone in recognizing the potential of biotechnology on future battlefields, but the ways in which they are trying to integrate industrial development, academic institutions and military programs is truly amazing. They are especially leading in the development of CRISP-Cas, a gene modification technology. The concept of zhishengquan, translated as biological dominance or command superiority in biology, is becoming increasingly important in works on the future of warfare. China is actively exploring new frontiers of biological technologies - from the development of CRISP to bionic robotics, intelligent exoskeletons and the technique of connecting humans and machines - they state in the text "China's Military Biotechnological Frontier".

Warndick told NBC News that he was less worried about the advantage these biotechnologies bring on the battlefield, and more about the consequences that changing human genes could lead to. - When we play with the genetics of the organism, the consequences can be unpredictable - he stated.

Experiments

The United States is not officially working on gene changes in members of the army, but it is trying in every way to create the super soldiers that they have had in the comic book about Captain America since the Second World War. The Pentagon is investing millions and even billions of dollars in the development of various technologies that would increase the combat capability of their troops - DARPA is working on the development of exoskeletons, robotic accessories, telepathy systems, "pain immunization" ...

The portal smallwarsjournal.com states that even in the time of the Soviet Union, the Red Army worked on the development of super soldiers. - The claims that the experiments were conducted from 1936 to 1941 are controversial. Soviet scientists surgically inserted gold electrodes into the brains of thousands of volunteers, controlling pain centers. Then, titanium implants were tested, which allegedly protected parts of the body from mines and bullets. Pravda writes that most of them were unsuccessful, but that there are similar researches in Russia today. Russia's Central Research Institute for Precision Machine Production made a combat suit called Warrior-3, a titanium exoskeleton, a few years ago. It is very similar to the American one and increases the strength, speed and endurance of the wearer. Exoskeletons are rapidly developing in both China and Japan, and their products can be compared to Russian and American ones - states Nilantan Nirutan in the text "Above people - The rise of super soldiers".

There are many different strategies for creating terminators from blood and flesh, but the most fears are caused by the manipulation of genes, which all the world's powers deal with, although they always criticize their rivals for that. Even two years ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a forum that "genetic coding could lead to disaster" and that such superfighters would be more dangerous than nuclear weapons.
