Two kingdoms fighting for the huge peninsula they are dwelling; one having the resolve to preserve the traditions of the land and instilling the core value of honor and glory, while the other one was advocating for the progress of the realm, even if it costs its old ways to advance and survive.
Along highest mountain of the land, lies an erected large white flag. Scholars of both kingdoms have their own versions of who couldโve raised the flag, who were the past inhabitants, or what the flag meant. One has the version of the winner or whoโll dominate the other can replace the flag with their own, and the other one capturing the flag will have the rights to control the whole peninsula. Both kingdoms have half the portion of the path, and in order to reach the top, one must cross the other kingdomโs border.
War was inevitable, it has been waged throughout the years, for the sake of their own ideologies. Reshaped the land into blood and turmoil instead of prosperity. They never truly knew what lies beyond that will inevitably be their unbecoming.
One midnight, one kingdom sent out a large reconnaissance to capture the flag, since theyโll truly lose the ongoing war within the fortnight. Having low on ammunition and supplies and even men, theyโd surely go for the desperate yet practical option. War was due on the open field in the morning, so it was an ample of destruction at stake in their end.
Equipped with the right equipment to make the climb and, enough weapons to destroy the patrol camps that lies ahead, there was one thing that remains to bother them: the northern and southern winds were really strong that night.
They took the other kingdomโs patrol camp by surprise as they galloped their way with their well-fed horses. It was a matter of seconds they filled the soil with blood, and the air with smoldering smoke. The large fires caught the attention of the other kingdom, prompting them to spare some of their forces to reinforce the camp.

Said one captain of the cavalrymen. Losing too many forces, they made a desperate move, moving half of their men all the way to the foot of the mountain in the ensuing chaos.
Never truly knowing what lies ahead.
