The world has taken an unexpected turn and changed our lives, from one moment to the next we stop being free to be confined in our own houses. We cede the spaces and nature occupies it, the birds, the fish, and other species roam free transiting the spaces that we used to occupy, the rivers were again transparent and clean air free of contamination.
We are living in difficult times due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Fear and uncertainty mercilessly haunt us. We have never before suffered the ravages of a global pandemic. However, there has been a lot of time we have had to reflect and learn to value the moments that are really important and that sometimes due to our multiple daily tasks we leave aside or forget in the moment.
It was during this long social distancing that we learned to give more value to our families, friends, neighbors, coworkers and all those around us.
We miss moments like these where we could share with our friends and family.
Our children are waiting for a reunion where they can share again with their friends and classmates.
We have had to fight a battle where our Faith is our best defense weapon. A battle that I hope we will overcome to meet again, embrace each other and celebrate life together, now with a lesson learned, a vision that definitely changed our way of being and doing in society and individually.
In these times, strength, resilience and solidarity are present in us and, thanks to this, we have learned that we are able to bring out the best in us and face the adversities that come our way.
Cheer up! Better times will come, times to heal and times to grow.
