Today, on September 4, at the sitting of the Standing Parliamentary Committee on State and Legal Affairs in the RA National Assembly, the discussion of the package of draft laws "On Making Amendments to the Related Laws on Ensuring the Sanitary and Epidemiological Security of the Population of the Republic of Armenia" was heated. The problematic issue, as many of the deputies present at the sitting noted, was the points related to immunization, which includes vaccinating the population, even in court. It should be noted that in accordance with Article 2, Clause 5 of the Law on Making Sanitary and Epidemiological Security of the Population of the Republic of Armenia if a person does not voluntarily carry out immunization, ie vaccination, it may be "imposed" in court...
Narek Zeynalyan, Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Health and Social Affairs, tried to find out from Rafik Grigoryan, RA First Deputy Minister of Justice, whether the vaccinations will be imposed on the court, but in response to the question, Deputy Minister Anahit Avanesyan hastened to add that such a thing would not happen.
"Immunization will be carried out only voluntarily. "There is no such thing, people, this event will not be forced," he said.
Zeynalyan hastened to notice that there are contradictions with the information given by Mr. Grigoryan.
"Mr. Grigoryan said something else, please make it clear, will immunoprophylaxis be imposed on people or not?" Zeynalyan asked.
In response to the question, Rafik Grigoryan mentioned that if a person is in self-isolation or isolation in accordance with the law, he will not avoid that event, it is done for the health and safety of the population.
And Zeynalyan reminded that a person in self-isolation and isolation is considered unhealthy, so immunosuppression, ie vaccination is not used in his case, but in a healthy person. He asked for an explanation, why should a healthy person be forced to be vaccinated in court?
However, as the course of the sitting showed, the main speaker Rafik Grigoryan was in a hurry to hold a vote.
"We can discuss word combinations, terms and, a number of technical details in the second reading, and now let's vote."
The draft amendments to the Law on Sanitary and Epidemiological Security of the Population of the Republic of Armenia, as amended by other proposals, were adopted, only one person voted against.
I think it should be mandatory... That will be the best..
