Ashot Hovsepyan bought factory alcohol, mixed water, sugar and lemon salt
Ashot Hovsepyan, arrested within the framework of the criminal case initiated on the cases of mass poisoning from alcohol in Armavir, does not accept the suspicion. Hovsepyan's lawyer Gor Gorgyan told "Fastinfo" that his client gave a detailed testimony, stating where he got the factory-produced alcohol from, and mentioning the circumstances of the preparation. "It turns out that he bought factory-made alcohol according to his imagination, mixed distilled water, lemon salt and sugar to get the flavors. He made vodka. Before that, he had to try it, because he had to feel the taste as a specialist. We can't even imagine how it happened to him, how it spread, does it correspond to reality? It is possible that there is a problem with alcohol within the framework of reasonable suspicion, but at least he, as such, did not mix any chemical additive. He mixed water, sugar and lemon salt, "said Gorgyan, noting that there was no doubt that what he mixed could cause such poisoning.
According to him, one of the other two arrested persons, in all probability, is the person from whom his client bought alcohol, and there is no information about the other person, no investigation has been carried out with their participation yet. The lawyer said that Ashot Hovsepyan pointed to the place where the whole amount of alcohol was kept. "Taking into account the fact that if he had not pointed, no one would have known where it was. "The preliminary investigation body could not even find out, but they pointed at it and found out that if that was the real problem, it would not suddenly spread," the ombudsman said. According to the lawyer, Ashot Hovsepyan presented the list of people who bought vodka from him. According to him, such a case has never happened before. Referring to the examinations appointed within the framework of the criminal case, the Defender informed that a forensic medical examination of the corpse had been appointed, the conclusion of which had not been received yet, and no examination had been appointed regarding the found vodka. As for the allegations that according to the initial version it was methyl alcohol, the lawyer mentioned that methyl poisoning was found in the blood of the dead. "For the second time, the inspectorate seems to be heading there, but makes irresponsible statements, because, having no factual information at hand, you should not violate the presumption of innocence of the person. We have methyl alcohol poisoning. By the way, it was not given by the forensic medical examination of the corpse, but they came to such a conclusion in the hospital, but whether it could be linked to Ashot Hovsepyan or whether they were poisoned by that alcohol, at that moment no one knows, even the preliminary investigation body. ",- She said. Earlier we reported that in the period from August 31 to September 3, 38 cases of alcohol poisoning were registered in Armavir, Kotayk and Yerevan, 14 of which resulted in death. A criminal case has been initiated in the Armavir Regional Investigation Department of the RA Investigation Committee in accordance with Article 279, Part 3 of the RA Criminal Code (issuing or selling goods that do not meet safety requirements, performing works or providing services). During the preliminary investigation, a number of investigative actions were carried out, such as inspections at the scene, and containers filled with alcohol-like liquid were found and confiscated. According to the participants, the poisoned people used the mentioned liquid. Ashot Hovsepyan, a resident of Armavir, born in 1970, was arrested on suspicion of selling goods that did not meet safety requirements. Two citizens were arrested within the framework of the case. The 72 hours of Ashot Hovsepyan's arrest expire today.
