American pancakes

There is a recipe for a basic mixture with which you can prepare the sweetest American pancakes!

American pancakes differ primarily from ours in thickness and size. When baked, they are about half an inch thick. While still hot, they are coated with a little butter, stacked on top of each other, and then, classically American, topped with maple syrup. That way they stay juicy, spongy and melt in your mouth. You can replace maple syrup with honey, and American pancakes with your favorite chocolate spreads, homemade caramel or fruit are popular.
