Life can end at any time.
It might be tomorrow, next week, or in a year from now.
You might be well prepared, knowing it well in advance, or go out in the blink of an eye. But even if you live to a ripe, old age, and are well prepared, looking back it will seem that life went by incredibly quickly.
Do not wait. Life is too short not to go for what you want!
It's too late and you are too old to keep waiting any longer. Stop saying that things will change tomorrow or that you will stumble upon what you love eventually. Stop looking for a partner to magically appear or that you will meet eyes across the room with your true love soon.
Stop all the wishing and hoping and start taking life into your own hands, because otherwise it may not happen in time. But if you go for it, if you try your hardest, you at least increase your chances getting what you want. It may still not happen, but you are not betting on just chance.
Take a look at your dreams right now and ask yourself, just in the last year, what you have done to get but a step closer to those goals. And then ask yourself if that is enough if you die tomorrow.
Would you be able to look back and say that you tried? Would you be able to say you gave it your all for your dream? Would you be able to say you made an effort you feel proud of?
Or would you feel like you missed out?
Do not live to regret the choices you did not make.
I know this all is horribly cliche but that excuse is why so little people actually sit down and think about it. Too many of us still do go through life as if we were to live forever, even though we know we're not. I know you think this is said too much. I know you logically understand it. But what I want you really get it.
Why don't you sit down, clear your mind and think about the questions I've asked. Maybe it won't change anything.
But maybe you will find the courage to jump over your own shadow and start actively living for your dream instead of hoping for chance.
