The fifth largest cryptocurrency, XRP is no longer available on Coinbase. Coinbase, the number one US exchange, stopped trading XRP yesterday evening. The move caused by the SEC's lawsuit against Ripple was first announced on December 29.
XRP fell more than three percent shortly after Coinbase stopped trading and fell below the $ 0.30 level, which is considered psychologically significant. Coinbase Pro is the third largest exchange in terms of daily XRP trading volume, according to Messari data. Rival exchange Kraken will also stop trading XRP on January 29.
XRP was trading around $ 0.28 at the time of writing. It was a matter of curiosity whether XRP will decline further, as Kraken also stopped trading on January 29.
Polkadot also passed XRP
Polkadot (DOT), which recently started a strong uptrend, turned XRP's decline into an opportunity, becoming the fourth largest cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization. According to CoinMarketCap data, Polkadot ranked 4th with a market value of about $ 14,220 billion, surpassing XRP with a market value of $ 13.140 billion.
