The Walking Dead Season 1 Episode 5 Review/Recap
Another consolidation episode, this time it's the aftermath of the camp attack. Some disagreement about what to do with the bodies and the usual hotheadedness of some characters (the guy with the crossbow, he seems to suffer from frequent hotheadedness! 😀). They all realize that they have to accept different opinions but are also stronger together as a group and committing to a group decision, hence they decide (mostly) to move on from the camp as it's just no longer safe.
All in all the main guy is solid, the other cop his ex-co-worker seems to be becoming more unhinged.
The most poignant part of this episode is the guy who got bitten and infected asks to be left alone so he can die in peace. It's a really sentimental moment in the series, maybe the most so far. He actually seemed like a good actor, I'm a bit disappointed he didn't survive. Maybe he will be brought back later or maybe not. It reminds me a little of a well-liked guy who died off early in the series Lost. Unfortunately, that's just the way it is sometimes.
Then later we find out there is one guy left at the CDC trying to find a cure (I recognize him too, but from where??) and there is a kind of cliffhanger moment as the group try to gain access. Let's see what happens in episode 6 which looks like the final episode of the original series.
