Times are changing
It is true that we are living in exponential times and everything is advancing rapidly as more and more technical information is produced and shared every year. This has been the case for the last four decades and the pace is growing as the years go by, so it is safe to assume that we will be able to produce more wealth during the course of the next decade with the technological advancement of our age and the endless possibilities tied to the progress being made. Technology has now got to a point where it can enable us to generate more wealth than ever before, and even though it is certainly not distributed equally, it still offers opportunities never seen before.
The internet is at the core of this explosion of the total pie of wealth generated, and a look at the top ten billionaire list is all the evidence you need, so it goes without saying that this will continue to be the norm considering that our lives are becoming more and more dependent on devices connected to the worldwide web. It's more than obvious that things are just getting started, and taking into consideration the fact that we now have the internet of money as well, I think it's safe to say that we are now entering a new era of limitless potential. Computers are now making it easier than ever for our species to come up with solutions to our problems, so we stand a good chance of making it through the great filter if we haven't already.
Information is power
The key to success is our ability as a species to keep increasing our computation while producing more and more energy, which will eventually enable us to solve problems even faster, making it possible to overcome obstacles that threaten our survival as a species, to explore the solar system at a much higher pace, and to produce more wealth. The latter will inevitably increase the standard of living, which in return will assist scientific advancement even further by offering bright young minds the opportunity to receive a higher education and bless the world and future generations with their gifts. It is an endless cycle of growth and abundance, and it seems that we have just entered this golden era.
With the technological progress being made in the virtual reality sector, it is now more than obvious that the Internet is going to move from the 2D world to the 3D world, where endless possibilities await, and probably quadrillions of dollars worth of wealth are waiting to be produced. Technology will continue to provide opportunities never seen before, and industries that do not even exist today will dominate the future markets. And when I say quadrillions it's no exaggeration, especially considering that the present Internet is worth tens of trillions of dollars. Of course it all comes down to intelligence, which is undoubtedly what makes us stand out from the other species of the animal kingdom.
However, the key factor is not intelligence in itself, but one of its products instead; our ability to produce, store and transmit information. No progress could ever be made without a way to pass all the newly acquired information on to the next generations, which serves as evidence that information is the most valuable resource. The universe can be perceived as an ocean of information, with evolution being the mechanism running a giant, never-ending computational exercise. Each and everyone of us is a vital part of this mechanism, and our ability to communicate and share information is what gives value to this network of evolution in the first place. Our thoughts and experiences have value, and the process of sharing with the world generates wealth on many different levels.
Towards a digitized world
The digitization of our life will eventually make everything much more accessible and affordable, and while this is only true for bits of information such as videos, songs, images and messages of all sorts for now, in the future it will also be the case for energy, food and education. We will have tokens representing real-life items stored in public ledgers which we will be able to send to another user anywhere in the world with an internet connection, making it possible to exchange commodities in ways never seen before. The tokenization process will allow us to monetize things that currently do not carry value in a given area, as the blockchain technology is providing us with ways to monetize anything and everything we can do or even think of. And while this is already happening in online places where you can earn income just for sharing your random thoughts, it's still only the beginning
The world is now changing like never before, and we have to keep absorbing knowledge in order to be able to stay ahead of time and make the most of the situation. We now have a parallel universe of information at our fingertips which is continually shaping the world we are living in, and as our lives become more and more dependent on our ability to produce and share technical information, we have to keep looking for ways to do our part and add our fair share of knowledge to the pool. If you have found the way to solve a significant problem that is stalling our development, you should share with the world and enable our species to overcome the obstacles we are currently faced with. A problem should never have to be solved twice, and we must learn to live by this golden rule.
We have got skills
Our ability to produce, store and share information is what enabled us to conquer the planet even though we are physically inferior to most other species roaming this beautiful realm we are living in. We are so weak and fragile, yet our intellect makes us so powerful that we can achieve amazing things if we stay united and cooperate with each other. Teamwork has gotten us this far, and the ability to engrave knowledge and wisdom on matter, be it rock, paper, or plastic, is all we need to achieve bigger things and overcome any challenges along the way. And the best part is that we have also found a way to transmit this knowledge through the air and make it accessible regardless of location. All that's left is to make everyone realize the importance of it.
I'm sure we are slowly getting there, so I am very optimistic about the future. The world is a much better place than it used to be and there is plenty of evidence for that. The global population is skyrocketing and this is due to the fact that it is now easier than ever to survive and reproduce, which is the result of our ability to produce and share technical information. We are actually getting much better at it as the years go by, and this is a very positive sign if you ask me, as it basically means that the world will keep coming up with solutions to its problems. The future looks bright and we are blessed to be living in the information age, so let's consume as much as we can and let it reshape our world.
