Someday
Day 4: Places You Want To Visit
One of the biggest dreams in my entire life is to tour the beautiful places around the globe once I am ready financially, physically, and emotionally. My eyes were only left with amazement across the books or screen and I am also running out of 'SANAOL' already haha.
Basically, the plan was to visit those adorable ones in our country— Philippines first, and then proceed next to the exceptional foreign countries waiting out there. Tons were on my mind, therefore, l will only drop three that will surely blow you away because of such dazzling tourist attractions. Most of them are what we have tackled at class before.
Banaue Rice Terraces
Ever since my elementary days, I've been wanting to see such magnificent scenery carved by the creative and resourceful Ifugao tribe 2, 000 years ago in person. These can be witnessed in the Cordillera Mountain Range at the north. I am always amazed by how they were able to build such with the use of their bare hands and animal power only. No wonder it is part of the Eight Wonders of the world. The hard works and persistence showed us that we can do great things on our own just as without these modern technologies we are currently embracing. As they worked together to achieve it, unity has undeniably prevailed. These terraces are the living testimony of the Ifugaos' exceptional framework in water irrigation and rice production.
However, most of the younger Ifugao today didn't want to continue this remarkable culture of planting rice. I am hoping that these terraces will still be taken care of and preserved throughout the years until the next generations leading a great example.
Chocolate Hills
Wanna know why? 'Cause I love chocolates and Bohol has hills of them! Kidding haha. Well, as you can see, they're called chocolate hills base on the color of conical and dome-shaped mounds, and most of us relate them to Hershey's Kisses. We can clearly see them at Chocolate Hills Complex and Sagbayan Peak. The grass blanketing the hills gives them a soft and lush aspect during the rainy season while they earn their name because the vegetation dies off in the summer and turns a chocolaty brown color. One of the legends said they exist because of a giant's tears long ago that fell on the ground and grew as hills. Accordingly, he was disappointed in love which made him cry that hard.
El Nido, Palawan
It is a municipality where one of the best among the rest island beaches are incredibly found all over the world because of its majestic tourist attractions with:
Vibrant Coral Reefs
Unique White Sand
Jaw-dropping Limestone Cliffs
Stunning Turquoise Waters
These will absolutely make your stay truly remarkable. You can even do some enjoyable island-hopping, scuba diving, one of a kind lounge on beaches, and hiking up cliffs. How lovely would that be! Considering the season is extremely necessary as well when visiting here because the activities mentioned above are all outdoors. With that, the best months would be January until April 'cause the raining season in the Philippines start at the month of May while El Nido is mostly rainy during the strike of August.
Someday, no more sanaols. All my hard works through God's grace will bring me here. Claiming it!
Thanks. Owe you big time! ♡
