Food Preferences
For today's blog, I'll be doing a prompt I got to come across with @BreadChamp. I can't tag who really owned it because as I visit the link she provided, the author who also used such doesn't know who. So, I'd like to say thank you for creating a simple yet amazing prompt. Let's start!
Rice or Bread
No matter how I think about it, rice really weighs more especially when I am hungry. I don't know. Rice has this fleshy thing that satisfies my hunger and is really good when paired with viands as it should be. Bread is just some kind of merienda for me. I can eat a lot of rice but not with bread. Rice is richer in vitamins and minerals while in comparison, calories and carbohydrates are lower in bread.
Pizza or Pasta
I can't choose so, both! The two have this unique taste that I can't just neglect that easily. Pizza is pizza and pasta is also pasta. When it comes to which of them is healthier, pizza is more abundant in nutritional profile. The good thing about pasta is that it's cheaper and has this low index of glycemic that should be eaten in moderation. Glycemic index enables us to know wether our body has converted the carbs in the food we take into glucose. Foods with 50 or lesser have low glycemic index which is good, medium is ranging from 56 to 69 while the bad ones range from 70 and higher.
Sweet or Spicy
Like the prompt I've also done before, I'm more into spicy foods. Though sweets also taste amazing, my food lover self loves spicy foods more including sauces like vinegar with chili. You know, sweets are lovable but you just kind of feel that spicy foods are more lovable.
Bitter or Sour
Sour foods are better. The bitter one that I hate the most is ampalaya vegetable. I can only eat a little because there's this taste that always makes me want to puke. But you know, amplaya is very rich in vitamins and can treat some kind of illnesses and is somehow good when mixed with egg, I don't know it's name. I may hate it but a lot of people still love it too.
Fruits or Vegetables
Still, both fruits and veggies. I really love eating these healthy foods everyday. An example of the vegetable I really love is the okra. Yes! I used to hate it before because of its danlog na characteristic but my mom enticed me to love it for eating lots often. I usually dip it in a spicy vinegar with a little salt and that can already make my day. I think there's no fruit I don't like. Drop one you think I might hate.
(That's where the prompt ends. But, since I still haven't reached six hundred words haha, I'll add more.)
Chicken or Pork
If you're a Muslim, you'll obviously choose chicken over pork because it is prohibited. For me, pork foods are tastier than chickens. They are meatier when being eaten.
Breakfast or Lunch
For a healthy life, eating breakfast is more right than just eating lunch and skip breakfast. When you eat breakfast, it's okay if you can't eat lunch. But it's best to eat both in the right time. Since food is life for me, I love both especially when the foods in the table suits my taste.
We all have different food preferences. Some likes this and that. Some loves healthy foods more but others don't like vegetables usually. But remember, that a healthy lifestyle means a longer life. What are you waiting for? Balance your food preferences now to be stronger, healthier, and happier.
