Hey everyone. Just a random thought of writing from my head after looking at one of my boss’ face after he got a call and needed to rush out due to the fact that there are some discrepancies happening that can eventually dragged into a catastrophic future if not handled closely.
We have all seen that the beauty of human architecture on design that defies the surrounding environment with highly engineered applications from ground works to structural support; yet we also see disaster happens when natural disasters happens (such as landslide on a highrise) / or handled by unskilled foreign workers employed by contractors “just to get the work done”.
“Your IT sector, you are the only person viable with your work and hardly deals with authorities unless it is sensitive data; but a fully licensed architect, every signature bears consequences of unforeseen future if the structure of the building is never 100% full-proof.”
(That’s also because he didn’t know about blockchain and he doesn’t know that regulator can really get into developers’ blood in the name of regulatory)
This one sentence that my boss just told me gave me a profound thought, looking at the current situation of the real world case that is falling apart, and the rise of Metaverse, will idealistic architects who just loved to design might end up having a less stressful future with the 3D they learned building their masterpiece in the metaverse instead of the real world?

In the digital world, when the sky is the limit, whatever design so the designer chooses can happen, and the architect himself / herself would be able to have copyright signature so they choose and whoever decides to use the premise the architects gets the payment (based on the smart contract done).
But will this actually lessen the challenges of real life masterpieces in the future?
I suppose not, because the basic architectural needs like improvement of roadways will still be there until the metaverse turns reality, just like Matrix….
