A prisoner is someone who is legally held in prison as a punishment for crimes they have committed, A person captured and kept confined by an enemy or It can be a person who is or feels confused or trapped by a situation or a set of circumstances. People who are not saved, not Christian or a believer , and even us, The Children of God can be trapped by sins, death, burden, emotional and spiritual problems, physical ailments, attack from the enemy, depression, anxiety and everything that we have no control and power over something or someone.
We all want freedom. There are people that sacrifice many things to have what we call “Freedom”, to have a good life and feel at peace but the most important freedom that we should have know and trust is the “Freedom through Jesus”, because of him, We can have freedom from the other problems in our life. Jesus said “ I am the way…no one comes to God but through me” (John 14-16). If we ask Jesus for forgiveness, He will forgive us. We should ask Jesus to come to our life, into our heart, to be our lord and savior and tell him that We believe in him. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life We can have only access to God through him. And if we abide and remain faithful in his words, We will know the truth and the truth will set us free (John 8:31-32).
When Jesus died on the cross for our sins, It was to make us whole, A part of a divine plan to save us, to heal and restored our relationship with God. When we come to Jesus, We are given the Holy Spirit to live in us, to make God present in us, to set God's power at work in us and gives us the Freedom. The gift of Freedom, We have it within in our hands, the power of the Holy Spirit that put in us and gave us to tell, offer and be witness about God’s words and Power, How much God’s loves and want us to his children. When we call him, We repent, we change the way we think and ask God’s help then Jesus will set us free from burden, sins and death.
