Promise of Forgiveness...
One of the great challenges to all of us when executing forgiveness.
Especially when we are hurt, upset or angry.
Sometimes we deal to the options of revenge because of emotions.
But forgiveness will lead you to free from the control of the person who harmed you.
In Ephesians 1:7
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.
Through this text we can learn the four things about forgiveness.
First: In Christ we have redemption.
The death of Jesus pays the price of a ransom, releasing Christians from bondage to sin and death. We have the assurance of God’s forgiveness.
Second: Redemption through His Blood.
That price was the blood of Jesus shed on the cross that cleanses us from sin.
Third: Forgiveness of our sins.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Be open and honest with God through prayer and admit that you have made mistakes. We are nor perfect at all, we need Christ in our lives.
Fourth: In accordance with the riches of God’s grace.
It can be no other way. This goodwill is given freely and unconditionally.
Can you imagine! It is priceless.
It is a free gift that we didn’t earn or deserve.
Remember: It’s only by grace, not by our merit or works that any of us go to.
Only Christ is the answer of Forgiveness…
Share the riches of God’s grace with others.
Show others the same grace God has shown you.
Because God is good all the time…
