Even though we gain no listeners from this platform, we will continue to post here https://anchor.fm/johnny912/episodes/A-Whiteclaw--a-Vape--an-Impossible-Burger-w-JD-e1jda38
https://anchor.fm/johnny912/episodes/Indiana-Djibreel-and-His-Last-Podcast-e1ishqg Another long break, but another one done. It’s purely a labor of love. They’re still fun to do, so we’re gonna keep going

Down the lane way towards the spot called Greenwalls in Kailua, Oahu. Beautiful stuff. Hope it stands the ocean air.
Driving the coast looking for lines and finding them lacking in this spot. Pretty picturesque though. Stopped for a snapshot and sauntered on
Been busy managing work and family and life in general. Took some time to walk the beach and clear my head while searching for cowrie shells. Look up from the sand to this view. Awesome
https://anchor.fm/johnny912/episodes/Family-catch-up-e1gbna4 Just a quick one, but we knocked it out of the park. Well, maybe not out of the park, but we legged out an infield single at the worst.
https://anchor.fm/johnny912/episodes/Opening-scenes-and-editing-problems-e1fl1fv Continuing on, even with listenership at an all time low.
He refuses to admit he bit off more than he can chew, but he’s a good boy. Such a good boy!
Sunshine and small surf. Not a bad start to the day. Should probably clean my window, though
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/heavy-edit/id1586741482?i=1000553144056 Took a long hiatus, but they’re back. And just as “meh” as ever.
Joey dog in repose. He’s super gentle, especially with the littlest kids. He’s an old dog trapped in a puppy body.
Still reading this gem from Alan Watts. Some people love him and others think he’s sophomoric at best. For me, I find him very interesting and insightful. I can’t help but read this book hearing his voice, since I originally learned about him through YouTube audio of his lectures.
Back yard outside of my work. Storm came rolling through from the opposite direction the wind usually blows and trailed these clouds behind. Just snapped this with the iPhone, but it doesn’t do the whole view justice.
https://anchor.fm/johnny912/episodes/Happy-Holidays-From-Heavy-Edit-e1c1fqq Easily goes off the rails as soon as we started, but we wanted to do an end of the season holiday spectacular. Don’t know if it worked out, but here’s the final episode of season one.
He’eia Pier. After a morning of volunteer work cleaning up some brush, weeding and planting native plants, we got this view. Just gorgeous.
Early evening stroll along the rocks. It’d been rainy the last few weeks so this was a welcome return to more normal weather. The Mokulua Islands in the distance looked crisper with the naked eye
A little sunny and a little cloudy. The haze burned off after a little while and this cleared up even more, but duty called and I had to run errands. Still, ‘twas a pretty morning.
Beautiful little shell I found walking the beach this morning. That’s about as big as I’ve been able to find them around the rocks. Pretty pretty
This book is a fantastic read. It’s basically a transcript of four exceptionally well-educated & smart people having a conversation about logic & reason vs faith & superstition. Almost a book in defense of atheism.
Change of pace episode. Some of the audio is hard to hear, but talking to musicians who let us use their music is just grand. This podcast is on all kinds of platforms (Spotify, Stitcher, Apple Podcasts, etc) https://anchor.fm/johnny912/episodes/1213---Long-Live-Rock-e1b5ise
Fresh from its chrysalis and our critter cage onto some lavender. I waited a while for the sun to come out so this butterfly would open its wings to dry. Worth the wait! #owncontent #butterflies
Leon Bridges is new school soul. I’ve only heard a handful of his songs, and only found out about him through listening to Khraungbin. This song is a banger that absolutely slaps. Dude is mad talented. https://youtu.be/kEvJSQwkC94
Nobody asked for more, but we made more anyway. It’s a labor of love. https://anchor.fm/johnny912/episodes/If-you-are-what-you-eat-e1b9cqa
For those of you with kids, and who like folksy Americana music, check out “The Okee Dokee Brothers”. They’ve got a couple movies they made into albums to go along with their other albums. It’s good music first, and kid friendly second. I genuinely love this song. Don’t even care that this is a kid’s band, although my punk younger self would be mortified. https://youtu.be/lNZMI3bmzN0
Stuck in traffic when I snapped this quick shot. The sun was trying to push through, but never quite made it. This cold front brought some good surf, though, which is nice. Too bad you can’t really see it in this photo.
Another conversation gone off the rails, but we had fun. We’ve been called “a laugh track podcast” and though that might’ve been meant as derogatory, we took it as a compliment. https://anchor.fm/johnny912/episodes/The-return-of-the-Beef-Boys-e19q0j4
Sprinkling rain with the sun straining to come out. The winds blowing the opposite way as usual, brining in a chill. Atypical weather for here, but a welcome change of pace
