Hello,

to all red.cash users.

I love the history of my country Bulgaria.Fate has provided me in different periods of my life to live in different places,Plovdiv is one of them.It is the second largest city in the country and is a regional center.

Its history is ancient, the city is more than eight hundred years old.

The city is the largest center in southern Bulgaria.

Plovdiv is also home to three hills or "hills".

The names of the hills are.

Youth Hill, Liberators Hill and Danov Hill

Life in Plovdiv has not been interrupted for almost eight millennia, making its history extremely rich and interesting. The current city lies on the remains of many earlier settlements, which defines its rich cultural heritage. The numerous peoples who inhabited the city's territory have left traces.

Old Plovdiv - Houses built during the Renaissance are distinguished by unique architecture. built by the masters of that time, preserved to this day. it is an "Architectural and Historical Reserve" A visited place by both those living in the city and many foreign tourists visiting Bulgaria.

Multicoloured both outside and even more so inside, some frescoes are extremely artistic, such as the "alafranga" niches painted with landscapes. Likewise, the carved suns on the ceilings, the shasharma yukluks (deep pits with ornamental doors), the stair railings, the marble troughs and the slabs of the fountains are acknowledged masterpieces of craftsmanship.

The winding streets on the slopes of the three hills offer surprisingly unique views; the numerous churches are solidly built of stone and vaulted, and on Sunday mornings the bells ring out from all sides.

At the beginning of the 20th century. Plovdiv grew as a large industrial and commercial centre with a highly developed light and food industry.

"Glavnaya" is the main pedestrian area in the centre of Plovdiv with many attractions and is the longest pedestrian area in Europe - 1750 m. Many Plovdiv residents and visitors enjoy the manicured green spaces, with one of the attractions, the Singing Fountains, a favourite spot in the summer heat, located in the park itself.

The street starts from the Central Square in front of the Central Post Office and continues with one of the emblems of the city - the "Kopchetata" fountain (named after the seats around the fountain), which is illuminated in the evening and creates a unique atmosphere. Along the "Main" on both sides of it are beautiful old buildings from the late 19th century with many modern shops. There are a large number of cobbled turn-offs and pedestrian areas, such as Kapana and the Old Plovdiv Reserve. The main street is divided into two parts by the small Roman Stadium Square (Jumayata), below which is the restored ancient complex of the same name. Nearby are the Old Town with preserved Renaissance architecture, numerous archaeological excavations and the unique Ancient Theatre.
