This myth is completely False, since every Bitcoin Cash transaction is recorded and stored in a permanent, inalterable public ledger, which anyone can view and track at any time. This ledger is called the blockchain.
Using Bitcoin Cash to make payments does not mean at all, that your transactions are hidden from the world. Since BCH is built on top of blockchain, which is a public ledger, the address of the crypto wallets are visible to everyone. Transactions stored on this ledger include details such as the amount, date and time, the wallet money were sent from, and the wallet that received the crypto.
Nowadays, the amount of effort required to link a crypto wallet address to a person or an IP address is reducing, with crypto exchanges requiring identity verification and law enforcement hiring crypto experts. Also investigating agencies can trace crypto wallet owners by using ‘crumbs’ of information along the transactions trails (this could not be easy), but also they can capture information from ‘darknet’ markets, ‘sniff’ data, utilise past internet history, and then cross-reference it all with KYC information from crypto exchanges to identify a Bitcoin Cash wallet owner.
