Personal Vlog:The memories Typhoon Odette Left
`I already wrote about my experience on Typhoon Odette.` `The worst typhoon that I experienced so far. This Article is all about what my daughter felt during those times. Her teacher told them to write and essay about their experience during the typhoon. She already told me and I translated it in English and decided to share it here.` **The memories that Typhoon Odette Left** At exactly 7 pm we are already inside the house. As we thought that the typhoon will hit at 8 pm. But we are wrong as it began to blow it's wind on 9 pm. At first we felt relax and thought that it is just a typical typhoon despite of knowing that we are in signal number 4 typhoon alert. Me and my sister are still playing on our phone while the wind started to blew outside. At 10 o'clock pm the internet connection was cut off. Followed by the electricity. And the wind blew hard and it's very noisy outside. Enough to irritate your ear drum. My mom started to felt nervous and palpitations of her heart. I'm afraid while seeing her like that. She drank hot water and her medicine. Then thanks God she's okay. The water started to enter our door and window. We cover the window but it's no use. The wind keeps on blowing and throwing water inside our house. And we immediately wipe it and threw back the water outside. Then the wind calm down and the rain stop. And finally the typhoon is over. But never did we thought that this is the beginning of our hardships!
When we open our door. Our chair was drag at our neighbor's house. It's a strong wind indeed. And the other neighbor's roof fly away and they didn't knew where it is. All of the people that was badly hit by the typhoon lose their walls and roofs. We didn't lose any and got lucky.
But the torture has began when there is a shortage of water! There's no store selling waters. If there is. They only sell a very expensive one. Refilling station in here, bought generator so that they can sell water. But the problem is, it's very slow in refilling. We line up at the morning until evening our gallon is still too far away. And we end up failed in the end as their machine was damage. Our neighbor gave us one pitcher of water to satisfied our thirst. And all the remittance are closed. December 19, 2021 is supposed to be my birthday. We planned on swimming at the sea bit it was postponed. My mom cannot claimed the money. All remittance are closed because there is no electricity and internet connection. We have a small electric fan that my Mother use for my two sisters. That's why everyday we will charge our powerbank at $1 payment for fully charged.
All the foods, water, gasoline, butane and everything rise instantly. The price is very high and expensive. It's a struggle for all us. No electricity for almost 2 months. And we spent our Christmas and New Year in the Dark. But despite what happened. Taga saan ka pala sis leejhen. Natamaan din pala kayo ng typhoon sis. Yung province din namin sis leejhen sa mata talaga ng bagyo yung lungsod namin sa Liloan. Sobrang lapit lang kaya sobrang lakas talaga sis lee jhen. Nangiyak talaga mom ko tyaka ante ko sa sobrang takot. First time din nila nakaranas ng bagyo sis leejhen na ganun kalakas. Sobrang nakakatrauma talaga sis leejhen. 🥺

Oo kaya pag umuulan at may ubos Parang natatakot na ako haha. Pag mag panic attack ka naman ay walang magliligtas sayo. Kalma lang talaga.

Our roofs were flown away, too but the damage was not that devastating. We have a spring, so luckily we don't have a hard time refilling water in stations. Our only problem after that was the electricity. We don't have it for a month.
Yes torturing talaga ang walang kuryente.
Nkklungkot tlga sis pagamasdan ang ating mga kababayan na naapektuhan ng bagyong Odette. Mabuti at ang iba yta ay unti unti ng nakabangon.
Oo at sana hindi na maulit pa.
Sa amin sis mga 4pm nag start ang hangin bandang mga 6-9 yung napakalakas na hangin na may tunog na nakapangilabot ,sobrang daming nasira at hindi nakaligtas bahay namin ,til now nakikitira pa kami habang nag iipon pa para sa bahay.
Nakakalungkot Naman. Sana huwag na maulit ang ganito.
Nakaktakot talaga ang maka experience ng typhoon, lalo na pagkatapos,dahil sa kakulangan sa tubig at pagkain.Na experience din namin yan, nong nasira ang sources ng tubig namin dahil sa trahedya.Mabuti naman at safe ang lahat ng pamilya mo.

Thanks God we are still here, living to tell our tales about Typhoon Odette. I too had an experience from it, gladly it was not life threatening but we felt trauma like never before. Dun lang kami naka experience na lumipad yung roof ng aming boarding house

I can feel what you feel friend, but all this comes from natural events can not be blamed. I just pray that in the future this will not happen again. keep praying and always ask for help from God.
