Her Story: The Cat lover lady

January 25,1956 a cute baby girl was born. Shouting to the World to welcome her with love. And please be good to her.

She is The second eldest daughter of the Jumao-as Family. Her parents, named her Erlinda but famously called by her friends with her nickname "Linda"

All of the 6 siblings had letter E in their first name. For the reason why? only her parents know.

As the years passed by, the baby started to grew and study. But due to poverty Erlinda didn't proceed into Highschool. After Graduating from Elementary she started to work.

She loves Cats very much and they have a lot of cats in their house. Because at a young age she already believed that a Cat has a nine lives so whoever raise a cat will also have a nine life.

She worked different kinds of jobs at a very young age of 12.

She worked as a part time cleaner in their neighbors and whenever she saw a cat she will always feed them.

Sometimes she will went into the sea and looked for some seashell and sell them at the nearest neighborhood.

As she is living near the sea. Many people would wanted to buy the fresh seashells.

The best selling seashell is the "Tagimtim" or Talaba in Tagalog and Oyster in English.

Her life continues just like that until she reached at the age of 16 and develop into a young Lady.

But the biggest trial in her life suddenly arrived!!!!

And she is not fully prepared in the sudden turned of the situation.

One day when she is cleaning at the neighbor. She suddenly felt that her hands was shaking but didn't mind it at all. She just continue cleaning.

Until the shake became uncontrollable and she was lost! didn't know what happened.

Good thing someone saw her before she dropped to the ground. As they are poor her parents can't afford to brought her into the Hospital.

She was checked up by a faith healer only or we called it here "Mananambal" and "Albularyo" in tagalog.

The only findings was she only needs rest don't starved herself and eat at the right time.

She just continue her work without minding what happened. As she can't do anything due to a lack of money.

Until the shaking and seizure happened consecutively. Her father was granted a monthly pension by the government for retirement and immediately brought her to the Doctor.

And the truth hit her with anxiety and sudden sadness. She was diagnosed with Epilepsy.

At the age of 16 years old why of all people it's her!

She is not allowed anymore to went in the sea. And not allowed to clean the neighbor house as it is very tiring. And no one knows when will the Epilepsy occurr.

She didn't used in sitting down and doing nothing. So she asked her friends to include her in the stone craft job out.

She accepted job order of beads which is use in fashion making jewelry. She worked at home.

Until a young lady fully developed into a young woman. At the age of 18 she finally got a boyfriend. Her first Boyfriend and first love Dokey.

But there is always a doubt, anxiety and sadness in her heart. Although Dokey knew that she is sick but still she is worried and hoping their relationship will last long.

Until the day came that they broke up. Linda was so sad and still face reality with a strong determination and will.

She decided to build a small store from the salary in her job out. Then her sister arrived from Manila and brought back a little girl name Jen.

She is glad to babysit and make Jen as her assistant in the small sari-sari store. As her sister had to work for Jen's daily needs.

Years passed... The small sari-sari store became Big. Linda bought and build a new House came from the fruit of her hard work.

Her epilepsy never been a hindrance to her success.

She always buy her maintenance medicine and believed that if she will never eat chicken again the Epilepsy will not occur and it did not came back!!!

She is thankful to God with that.

But years gone by Jen got a kids and she is old but still took care of her kids as her own granddaughter.

She also adopted the daughter of her brother Lovely so that she will have someone with her. Her second little assistant.

Yes Linda didn't married at all and remained Single till she is old.

Her Cats will always be there. Treating them as her children and sometimes she will adopt those stray Cats who will visit her house.

Her Epilepsy was gone but sadly to say she is diagnosed with Diabetes. She is old but still selling on her store as she don't like to sit and doing nothing.

And if course she needs to feed Lovely and her beloved cats. Her store was still doing okay nothing to worry except for her Diabetes.

Being Single and mo children didn't bother her at all as she had her Cats and Lovely as well as Jen's kids.

As we all know people will come to an end and many is afraid of talking about Death. But this is the Fact of Life.

At the age of 61 years old Linda died. Due to Diabetes complications.

And her loving and loyal cats didn't understand that she is dead or they understood who knows.

Minggoy was always at her coffin calling her but to no avail no one will ever heard Minggoy.

Until the day she was buried Minggoy wanted to go with her. Poor little cat.

But From afar up above Linda is watching saying goodbye to everyone...

Cats have nine lives but we people only have one.

And this is her story, The cat lover Lady...

So as long as we are alive and well, spend quality time to your love ones. Cherish the moment with them and make some wonderful memories as we only live once...

That little girl Jen was me... Aunt Linda has been very good to me until the day she died. In my heart she will never be forgotten.

This is Article is my Birthday gift to her. I wanted her story to remain in my children's memory. Later on they will be reading this....
