Pinocchio's fairytale is always alive and captivates adults and children alike, teaching us so much. Written in 1881 in Florence, "The Adventures of Pinocchio" is the world-famous novel by Carlo Collodi. The story told, as we well know, is that of the adventures of a wooden puppet who, in a long and tormented journey of maturation, finally manages to become a real child.[Immagine CC0 creative commons] [Immagine CC0 creative commons]
Published in 1883, The Adventures of Pinocchio immediately became a great publishing success, attracting the attention of the worlds of cinema, theatre and comics over the years. Collodi wrote a masterpiece without knowing it. "With this puppet, I want to travel the world", Geppetto had said to master Antonio when he asked him for a piece of wood to give life to an idea that had "rained on his brain".That son of hers has been around the world. It has become a best-seller translated into all the languages of the world for the joy of young and old alike.
"The Adventures of Pinocchio" with their ironic sadness may be a failed book, but it is a masterpiece. It depicts the world of adults with its most pitiless portraits of reality and life (wickedness, falsehood, cruelty and the ambiguity of the human condition). The adventures of Pinocchio have therefore become a classic, to be reread together with a few others.
If you have read the book or seen the various films, comment with a "like".
