Henry Morgan succeeds the pirate Mansfeldt at his death. The corsairs acclaim him as their leader in recognition of his courage and skill. After joining a relative of his in marriage, Morgan studies a plan of attack against Port Prince. The news that the famous pirate is about to run over the city with his pro-brokers runs fast and alarms the garrison. When, after having divided them into several teams, Morgan reaches the beach with his crew, they are already firmly held by the Spanish forces. The company is risky, but Morgan has the utmost confidence in his men. Arranged in order of attack, he hurtles headlong against the first Spanish line. The fight is violent. There are many losses on both sides, but the pirates do not back down by a single step; on the contrary, they attack with greater fury and manage to overwhelm the Spanish. The fight lasts four hours after which the defenders from the city are on course. Several officers and their commander fall under the pirate's heavy fire. Left unguided, the Spaniards slip away and then retreat in disarray. It is a victory! Having overcome one last resistance at the gates of the city, Morgan and his men penetrate the town. Gunfire echoes again in the streets, but it is a resistance that the pirates soon break down.
Those captured with weapons the pirates slit their throats. These summary executions have a terrifying effect on the population, many of whom prefer to give up their rifles and seek escape in the attics or cellars. Few garrison soldiers still resist, but when Morgan orders them to surrender, on pain of burning down the village, the fighting stops. The pirates bring women and children into the church of the old town, threatening to kill them all. In the meantime, Morgan establishes his headquarters in the fortress of the city. He questions some members of the nobility of Port Prince to know where they have hidden their wealth. Among the hostages, there is also a beautiful young woman who hopes to pitiless the pirate chief. Morgan, however, makes the woman understand that she would pay with a sword blow for his obstinate silence. Faced with Morgan's decision, the young woman ends up confessing to the place where her people have hidden their money and jewels. As evening falls, the pirates noisily celebrate their victory. The wine runs wild, while the buccaneers take advantage of the town's women by organising orgies in the streets. Morgan participates in the party, but he didn't come to Port Prince with his weapons in his hand to have fun with the local women and drink.
