In Little Big Man, the glorious pioneers, the conquerors of the West, who are not shown as men all in one piece, but seen in an ironic and deforming light, which gives them an unusual dimension. The film wants the rehabilitation of the redskins, while one of the Indians' most famous adversaries, General Custer, is derided as never before. The film tells the story of Jack Crabb's life: a 121-year-old Methuselah. The man tells a journalist about when he was a child and how the Indians killed his parents. Saved by another tribe of Indians, Jack was raised with love and renamed by them "Little Big Man". Among a thousand adventures, Jack then returned among the whites, among whom he found his gunslinger sister, becoming a gunslinger himself. He then enlists as a muleteer under General Custer and starts looking for his wife kidnapped by his Indian friends. Jack passes between the two civilizations with ease, thus experiencing advantages and disadvantages, without choosing which side to take.

Nauseous from the horrors he saw during his time in the army, he became a hermit and took the cause of the Indians in his heart, to rejoice when the cocky Custer was won at the Battle of Little Big Horn.
