Why I Don't Longer Shop in Shopee Too Much?

After writing the title of this article, I suddenly opened my Shopee app to check the date of my latest order. Then, I'm surprised since my last order was more than two weeks ago. I just bought it on that platform as my professor announced that we will be having a painting for our preliminary examination, and someone in our group chat answered my question about the link where I can buy the exact size of the canvas. Even though I already scrolled further in Lazada, I'm struggling to find that exact size. My second last parcel on Shopee was July 3, and I bought it just for my academic convenience. It is not that expensive, though.

And now thinking about my inactivity in surfing that online platform, I realized that I'm no longer shopping on Shopee because of different reasons. Just to be clear, I'm not influencing you to stop checking out items as I told you so. I'm just trying to warn you.

1. False advertising in their shipping fee

Yes, guys, you are right. I'm not that good at investigating, but I think the vouchers that they are distributing are not that accurate compared to what they advertise. Some of the shops are charging unbelievable and unacceptable feed. Most of the time, I'm utilizing the voucher for Php. 50 off if I meet the minimum spend. However, I only get half of the shipping fee, and sometimes I only get lesser than that.

1. Expensive shipping fee

I understood this kind of reason since the price of gases is increasing like what we experience today. The inflation also plummeted in their expenses, so that's the reason they also need to adjust for the sustainability of their business. But as a normal Filipino consumer like me who doesn't have an active income, this kind of adjustment seems difficult to do. If you are an individual who is conscious of what they spend, you also know the existence of the word "practical" Therefore, this is one of the reasons I can't afford to place an order in their application anymore.

1. Decreasing the available offers of Piso Load deals

I thought that this offer would be forever, but they are now only offering it every sale where most of the items are in the bargain. I remember those times when we can still afford Php. 20 of load for Php. 1 in every special occasion like same digit days, and first and last days of the month. However, they decreased the offer by Php. 10, and getting the chance of winning Php. 100 by just paying Php. 1 is not that easy to claim. And also, I'm sad that they removed the Php. 5 daily by just paying Php. 1. Nonetheless, I'm still grateful that it helped me to lessen my expenses.

1. Two same vouchers (cashback and free shipping) are invalid

It's been a long time since it was implemented, so I guess you already know how much this affects their consumers. Honestly, my cousin was disappointed with the effectiveness of this system since he saves a lot in his purchases of pursuing his hobby on Rubrics' Cube. Because of these changes, I started to decrease my Shopee purchases since I already think that purchasing items I won't need a lot is just a waste of penny.

1. Lazada offers better than Shopee

Since I became inactive on Shopee, I started to shift from Lazada because of their amazing offers. Their shipping fee is not that expensive, and you can also use two vouchers in one order which saves me a lot. I'm only purchasing on that platform unless it is important.
