This is the famous Boracay Island located in the Western Visayas. In 2012, the island of Boracay was awarded as Best Island (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boracay) by the international travel magazine. But due to the sewage system issue and other major renovations work, the island was closed for 6 months and it was re-opened in October 2018.

Island Hopping

My friend and I wanted to do something different. So while the boat was navigating to our next stop we didn't sit inside, we stayed outside of the boat, although we knew that it was not safe because the boat was still moving but we still opted to stayed outside. Anyways, the boat crews allowed us to do such thing so it was okay.

Island Hopping

We stopped meters away from the land so we could enjoy swimming and meeting with underwater creatures.

My mother did not get off the boat so she just stayed in the boat alone. Since she is not fond of swimming she just entertained herself thru taking pictures and sight seeing.

After our island hopping, we went to the beach to witness the sunset. The beach was busy so there were many photo bombers.

Trying One Of The Best Ice Cream In The Island

In the evening after our dinner, we went to the famous restaurant that served delicious ice cream. It has a long queue so it took longer time before we were able to get inside the restaurant.

Waiting For The Sunshine

We woke up early to witness the sunrise and while waiting, we had fun taking photos. We never thought that we could capture a stunning photo because it was still dark, although it appeared silhouette but behind me was a beautiful reflection of the sky and clouds. The light of the sun warned us that Mr. Sun will be coming out in a few minutes.

And now Mr. Sun was rising. The surrounding was so fresh and calm. The surface of the sea water was placid. The serenity of the environment gave us moment to connect with the nature. It also helped me to forget the hustle and bustle of the big city even in just a little bit.

After a few minutes of waiting, the sun was already came out. It reminded us of a new beginning. That's my friend in the picture, she really wanted to have a photo like this.

After witnessing the sunrise in Bora we enjoyed strolling around the beach until we reached to the tip of the beach. It was really great to have morning hike in this beautiful island.

In our way to the hotel, we saw a teenage boy who built this. It was not free, I mean if you wanted to have a photo on this, you have to pay him, but sorry I forgot how much I paid him.

In Puka Beach

This is also part of Boracay Island. Another beach resort in Bora. It has powdery white sand and crystal-clear water.

Adieu Boracay

This billboard was visible near the port going to Caticlan port. Since we had arrived in the port early of our departure time we took the opportunity to have a photo souvenir. Adieu Boracay.

It was another fulfilling trip. My heart is always grateful to God for the opportunities like this. I had ticked another goal listed in my bucketlist.

Thank you for reading and see you in my next blog. Cheers!
