Printed Modules: Parent Friendly or Parent's Burden?
Teachers have started distributing sample modules for grade school. This is done in preparation for the upcoming official opening of classes amidst this pandemic. Modules were quite good in terms of illustration. It's easy to read and answer. Photos were great, though, it's printed in black and white, still gives good presentation. Upon scanning and reading the content, these modules showed complications to the fact that you have to read it carefully and understand the texts to be able to relay it to your child. As parents, it will be easy for us in terms of our kids attitude. We know how they behave so we have our own strategies to keep them focused. I realized, it would be a great challenge for parents in terms of teaching their kids and explaining to them the whole content of each module. Except for those in higher grades where kids already know how to read and write and understand it on their own. They can work with less supervision. How about the early grades (1st to 4th grade)? What I'm more worried about is that even a degree holder experience hard times understanding the texts, what more for the parents who never had the chance to finish grade school? Will they be able to teach their kids properly? Will they even be able to read or understand the content? 🤔 Some may even find it awkward setting up a mini classroom in a messy home. 😅 But that's not the point. We can always find a way to give our kids a decent workplace. The point is - how will they be able to relay what is being taught in the modules? But you know, we all have to deal with it. This is the new normal. We have to be resourceful as much as we can to give our children the best. I just hope our teachers will continue their efforts to help parents in giving their children quality education despite this world wide calamity. A snappy salute to our teachers who never gets tired of sharing their love to their pupils. To teachers who always have the initiative to help parents achieve the knowledge and support needed in this new mode of learning. Thank you... Printed modules were indeed a great help to our children. I just pray that schools give proper orientation to our dear parents for better understanding. It would be great if they be given something like a DIY pattern on how to teach their own children without hustle. 😊 What is your opinion about this?? 🤔

4me mas ok pdin yung face to face class compare sa ganyan.. magulang ang nag,aaral sa gnyang sitwasyon hindi bata halimbawa nlng ung sa grade 1 at 2 🤭
Oo except na lang yung mga magulang na to do effort talaga magpapakateacher para lang ma relay yung tinuturo sa modules. Helpful naman sya kaso lang hindi talaga applicable para sa lahat... Pero anyway, atleast hindi ma idle yung mga bata may babasahin at sasagutan parin sila yun lang kung Di din tamad mga kasama sa bahay.. Hehe Problema din kasi ang supervision sa mga anak, what if may maliit na kapatid tas makulit pa? Pano na lang kaya.. Heheh
Dag2 mo pa ung mga spoiled na mga anak hahaha hindi mg aaral ng maayos un dming palusot pag sa bahay lng ei. Like mag c,cr nagugutom ng wla sa oras natatae hahaha mag lalambing.... Kunting ingay distracted agad gaya ng tumahol ung aso sa labas haha Wla ng late2 wla ng cleaners wla na ung kaibigan na mging2 bestfriend sna ng anak mo na mag papayo sa kanya sa unang heart break nya hahahha
True pero let's just pray na this is all temporary. Long term situation pero sana walang forever ang ganito.. Hhaha
I strongly agree with your opinion. We should be conscious about children's growth. And about their knowledge. This time is a challenge for us. We have to be strong and have to spend more time with children.
That's right.. This is the time that parents will have to stay longer beside their children.. let's just pray for the better.
May Almighty Allah help us to get ride from this pandemic. I wish we will get ride very soon. Tell then we should stay with children and spend time with them by gossiping, playing, and this kind of knowledgeable work. Thanks dear.
Even traditional classrooms or face-to-face classes have drawbacks. Having too many students in a classroom gives each student a lesser time of attention and supervision. However, the lessons are easy to handle somehow because I'm sure that teachers made the simplest form of their lessons. On the other hand, Modular and online classes are not applicable to everyone. Most especially those students whose parents are not financially stable, or unfortunate to learn longer years in school. Learning also varies as to what learning style a student has. So this new normal classes setup is not reliable for learning to everyone. Maybe some.
Very well said. 👌👌👌 Still let us be grateful for the efforts of the government. Let us also try to find a way to help those less fortunate kids so we could somehow pull them up from not having the chance to learn. .
We should be. Especially those teachers who spend their own money to supply the materials needed for this transition. It's saddening lang na the government don't acknowledge how difficult the situation would be, especially sa mga bukid. They always say na "handa naman tayo sa pasukan". They only acknowledge those schools which have complete materials and access to technology pero yung sa mga bukid, na neneglect. Daming sabi 😆🤦♀️ well, bitter truth.
I haven't seen the printed modules because my sister doesn't have her module yet. If the modules are hard to comprehend it's actually not the teacher's fault because they are just printing those curriculum materials. Those modules are just being handed to them by DepEd and they will have to print it. Sad to say, because this pandemic is too sudden, of course there is not enough time to prepare for everything and for sure it's also a challenge for the curriculum stakeholders. Parent's should be thankful that the authorities are doing their best to educate the children and the youth amid this pandemic. The education sector is actually doing their best to provide quality education to children. Their goal is for time not to be wasted because if we are going to wait for classes to resume after everything gets back to normal, it would be too late for the children. Just imagine the children not getting any knowledge for quite a while. Good thing that in our municipality we have the so called blended learning. Blended learning because the municipality took an initiative to set up a radio station intended solely for discussion of lessons from first grade to 6th grade. They have lesson discussion for about an hour on a specific subject and after the discussion, parents can assist their children in answering the modules. And aside from listening to radio, they also arranged for live videos that can be watched on facebook. Those who are unable to watched the lesson can replay the videos. It only shows that those in authorities are actually doing their best to help feed the hungry minds of these children 💕 hehe speaking in behalf of the teachers @Jabs 😅
During the enrollment I chose radio, online and printed Modules.. The teacher arranged me to printed Modules + TV we don't have our own TV in our apartment 😅😅.. My sister-in-law is a teacher and I see her struggles especially financially. Supplies provided are not enough so she has to use her own money. And I help her in doing the layouts of her presentations, including her props for the online demo. 😁

I'm always glad to use my skills and be able to help a family with it. 😊 But there are times I don't like to help her because she pays me for my services.. 😁😁. So I just offer to collect the budget fir the materials and return the change. I give it to my niece (her daughter) so she cannot refuse. 😂
