It's time for my son's class module submission. This will be the last set we're going to submit. I enrolled him to where I studied elementary during my time.
His first year was great, he made a lot of friends there but unfortunately, the pandemic ruined everything. The entire school, especially the children had to adjust. So here we are, going back and forth to school to collect and answer modules and return them every Friday.
The main gate was closed for renovation so we have to enter from the back. When I came, no one was there. The guard post was empty. So, I just passed through the post. I saw the buildings still looks the same as it was before but looking really old and abandoned.
I looked around and felt my nape rise at the back of my neck. There was a sudden cold air wrap around me while I pause to take a picture of our old library. The place really looked like an abandoned school. It looks like a ghost town. I can imagine this as a setting in a horror movie.
After that sudden chill, I started walking fast. I wondered where the other parents are coz I felt that I am walking at the wrong path. It feels so creepy passing through empty class rooms. But I still have the courage to take pictures even if my heart is pounding. 😅 As if eyes are staring behind the window gaps.
I looked around and there's really no one coming from behind nor I encounter someone else on that path. 👀👀👀 It was so quiet I could hear my footsteps echo in that place.
I walked faster and faster but never attempted to run even if I felt like doing so. It would be a shame if someone suddenly comes around and see me running as if I'm being chased 😂.
I'm relieved when I finally reached the building. I saw several teachers getting busy with piling up the submitted booklets and distributing new batches to some parents. This area is busy while that portion is very creepy. Which way did the other parents pass through?
After submitting and talking to my son's adviser, I immediately headed back down the stairs as I saw a couple of parents going to that same path. It's the nearest way to the gate so I'll just forget my goosebumps a while ago. I just needed to hurry a little bit since I still have to go to work.
I made bigger steps with my short legs to catch up but the last one's already too far. Hmm? 🤔 Could've they felt the same as mine passing through this path?
Again I passed by the old library and remembered how fond I am of books even if I'm not that good at understanding english when I was little. 😅. I like reading but most of the time I lose my concentration in the middle of reading. Then I read it again and again because I realized I didn't understand what I read.
If I'm not mistaken this tree is called the Talisay tree. I searched it on google and it's called Indian Almond tree.
And look what I found! Dried talisay leaves and seeds are being sold in Shopee. 🤭😁 We use these leaves along with the firewood or burn them at campfires. 😅 Now, it's sold in online shops.
These dried leaves actually help cure aquarium diseases. It gives good benifits to fishes.
By the way, back to that big old tree at school. I have a lot of memories in that spot. That's my favorite spot even until I'm in 6th grade. I used to read books, do my assignments and play with my closest classmate who happens to be the librarian's grand daughter. It's easier for me to borrow books without signing a charge out card 😁.
I like to sit on this round bench as it's peaceful and quiet since it's near the library. Now, it's wrecked! 😔.
This is the last place I passed by where I saw a dark shadow move inside. It's already near the exit but still looked so quiet and creepy. I got goosebumps again but still managed to take a photo. 😂😂 But really, I saw a shadow while taking this. It moved really quickly and it's inside the classroom. That's why this photo is a little blurred. I hurriedly walked out of the gate after this.
Old na nga tlga sis.. Napapabayaam na dhl sa pandemic
