We can be productive at home during pandemic if we will prioritize our health and body. We need it since we don't have now the time before we use to do it. Our time now is unlimited so I think we can do it better.
If the days seem to blend together and don’t find any motivation to do your homework when you’re stuck at home due to the coronavirus pandemic, it’s time to shake things up to bring your productivity back.
Here are some tips that can help you feel accomplished:
Have a to-do list
It’s easy to forget what tasks you have to do every day especially when you now have multiple online classes to balance.
Ideally before you go to bed, create a to-do list with everything you have to do the next day. That way, you know what time you need to wake up and you are reminded of all the tasks you have to do for the day.
Have a routine for yourself
This is easier for people who live alone, but for those like myself who live with family, it can be difficult to find a moment to yourself.
Mine is to open the windows to my room, light a candle, and scroll through Pinterest to get some creative inspiration before going to my work space to do homework. Making a routine no matter how big or small will bring some normalcy in your life during this uncertain time.
Workout, Stretch, or Meditate
If you’re paranoid about going outside for a walk, you can still get some physical activity in at home.
There are many YouTube videos that guide you through a quick workout, yoga, or meditation breathe work to start your day relaxed.
You can find at-home workout if you want. Exercise is really a healthy practice for our whole being.
Have a designated work space
Before quarantine, I used to be a person that would work from bed. This is not a good idea. If you wake up and never leave your bed, it makes it impossible to sleep later that night.
If you have a desk, perfect. If you don’t have a desk, I recommend finding a place near a window to keep you awake during the day while you do work. I was lucky enough to find a corner in my room next to the window and grab a chair from the dining table, but if you can’t find a space and absolutely have to work in bed, work on the opposite side of where you sleep. I promise it will make a difference.
When you need to take a break from working, make sure to leave your work space. Again, you do not want to associate your working space and our relaxing space.
Treat Yourself
Whether it is during one of your work breaks or at the end of the day, treat yourself to a favorite food, scrolling through social media for a bit, or watching your favorite TV show/film. Quarantine is the perfect time to practice self care.
We can make it or do a lot more at home if we will be conscious indeed to ourselves.
