2 Million In Gold In The Wastewater System
A team of scientists discovered our shortages in the wastewater treatment stations in Switzerland. It is estimated that every year about 45 kilos of gold are discharged through the country's wastewater system, as a result of the waste caused by the watchmaking industries and the transformation of gold in the country.
According to a study by the Swiss Institute of Water Science, our wasted money can reach values very close to two two thousand euros per year.
The study on the impact of the country's watchmaking and ourivesary industries was entrusted to the Swiss Federal Cabinet for the Environment and involved analyzes of 64 wastewater treatment stations throughout the country.
The scientists concluded that some regions of the country have higher concentrations of waste gold than others. Not in Switzerland, where many of the most famous gold refineries in the world are located, the concentration of gold detected in wastewater is so large that it arises even as a recommendation to create a precious metal recovery system.
No study, besides our gold, scientists will discover other metals in water, including silver and metals used in the construction of electronic devices. Researchers estimate that about 3,000 kilos of silver will be unloaded for the Swiss waste every year
