I am an employee that does my best to solve the problems at work. I ask for help and I help my colleague to get the job done. At the end of the day, I can say to myself that I able to solve the problem and I contributed to the company’s gain. I and my colleague were promised by the management that they will increase our salary because we had proven that we can stand individually to work as a team, to follow and support the company’s goal for our clients, despite of the pandemic.
I am included on the Skeletal Workforce that risk our life to go to work every day despite the growing numbers of people affected by Covid19, starts from march to July 2020. I even got infected by the virus and got healed. They only helped me with swab but my mental health was at worst because I got nothing in return. I am endangering my family during that time. I took the risk because if you see, there are lots of people lost their job and even their lives. I told myself that I will fight for this life, take care of my health and still work.
The promise of increasing our salary is not yet happening because someone is delaying it. Yes, someone. There is a person that is delaying our salary that should be on our payroll July of 2020 and now, present day, March of 2021, that increase is still a promise.
We are not the only one struggling for our everyday finances at work. There are employees that are still for their increase, unfortunately, that person, does not care at all. I thought there was a budget, as promised, but the budget is all gone. I don’t want to wait until July of 2021 and still they will vouch to it and will tell us that they will adjust the salary, retro.
To be honest, it is hard to work. It is hard to be motivated and dedicated. The job I am doing should be done by two people but because of pandemic, they did not hire new employees for saving purposes. So where is the saving? They already saved lots of money for not hiring another person because I am doing a job of two people ever since July of 2020. It is understandable that I feel this way. I get exhausted because I am too tired of doing the job of two people, but still the salary is still a promise.
I can still work, but I’m not sure if my Patience is still working…
