The United States has found no evidence of poisoning of Alexei Navalny, a critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin and a member of the opposition. US President Donald Trump said this at a press conference on Friday.

"I don't know what really happened," Trump said. I think it was an accident. It's horrible. That should not be the case.
"We have no evidence yet," he said. But I will look into this matter.
Alexei fell ill on August 20 while returning to Moscow from Tomsk in Siberia. The plane made an emergency landing at Omsk in Siberia and was taken to a hospital there. There he went into a coma. He was later taken to a charity hospital in Berlin for treatment. He is still in a coma. The German government says it has found evidence of poisoning Navalny.
