Bring your passions and dreams into your life to get more satisfaction from life
In everyday life, we tend to over-generalize certain concepts that are commonly used in society. For example, concepts like 'passion', 'dream'... The concept of passion is known as something that can only be felt between two people. I usually ask the question 'what is passion' in my first sessions but rarely get a real answer. In fact, passion is defined as 'a strong enthusiasm that transcends judgment'. We can miss looking at this side of life without realizing it. If there is nothing we do with passion in our lives, how much happiness and fulfillment can we talk about without having a phenomenon, an occupation independent of people?
The concept of dream is actually similar to this. Goals and dreams are often confused with each other. We have goals, but are they really our dreams? In fact, many of us live without dreaming. We dream of what the system offers us. A good house, car, yacht, yacht, job, money, a fit body, success, reward...
The difference between a dream and a goal is that we seek desire, pleasure and enjoyment beyond what the world around us has to offer. The dream may include small goals, but the goal of the dream is not about the result. It is about the path. Not knowing what you will feel when it comes true is what makes a dream a dream. Those who dream and those whose dreams are on the way to becoming reality actually understand this better. No matter how much water you drink, how much you eat and how much you travel in your life, if you say that there is something missing in my life, I say look at your passions and dreams. We can dream of seeing our children grow up, be successful and happy, and of course this pleases us; but I am talking about a more authentic happiness, a dream that belongs only to you and something you do with passion. The way to this is to know ourselves well, to be aware of our potential.
All ancient religions and philosophies have one thing in common. It says that people are not born with a single talent and skill. If a person lives a life in which he/she uses these talents, he/she can realize the purpose of his/her existence.
Compared to the old times, we live in quite good conditions. We have a job that provides us with a regular income, when we are bored we gather outside with friends and eat, drink and have fun. We can go on vacation or abroad with our friends or even our lover. In short, we live life with a certain standard. We start a family. We try to build a good future for our children. It is very important for us not to fall behind what we see. If we have all these opportunities, these are actually enough for happiness for many of us.
Sometimes we realize the need for a change. And we try, but we get discouraged when the conditions are not what we want. In the end, we say 'it's because of me', 'I chose this life and it's too late to go back' and we return to our life full of learned helplessness and instant gratification without realizing the injustice we have done to ourselves.
Achieving a life that will nourish our inner world and bring us more fulfillment can only be possible through the reflection of our passions and dreams in our lives. Finding our passion means finding everyone's unique talent and expressing it. A musician makes music, a singer sings, some cook, some write books. There is a crack or a break in this spontaneous flow and new doors open. Support comes for a life with more fulfillment. Cracks and breaks are one of the most important dynamics of life. What is important here is how the break is experienced. Think of an egg. If the egg is broken from the inside, life begins. If it is broken from the outside, then a life ends. So transformations that do not start from the inside are destructive, fatal.
Right now your life is a shell and it is in your hands and the decision is yours. There will be a break and where that break will come from is entirely in your hands. Don't be afraid to start again. Maybe you will love your new story more than the old one.
