I'm now really worried. I'm not getting any points for the articles and short posts that I have written. What seems to be the problem?
Music is Life I was only about 6 or 7 years old back then when I was gifted with a Walkman, a portable cassette player so popular back then during the 80's. Since then, I have learned to love music, every genre except the hard metal ones. The first song I have learned to memorize was Smoke Gets In Your Eyes, then followed by Kokomo. I still remember everything way back then. My father bought it for me when we went shopping at a local shopping center here. I was listening through my headset all the way back going home, riding a bus. My love for music got more intense during the last years of the 80's and early 90's. The music industry back then was thriving. All songs are originally composed. The Western Music industry was at the forefront of Pop Music. The likes of Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and Tiffany made the music scene ever so colorful. On the onset of the new century, songs were not the same anymore. Revivals made a trend. Boy bands and their fandoms will always be a headline on Billboard. Classical music became obsolete. But every decade, I have come to love songs that are played, whether it be through radio, cd's ,karaoke and videoke machines and now, through online. 2010 was the start of the popularity of online music. Youtube made a huge profit by allowing Music Videos, oftentimes seen before on MTV, to be played on their platform. Mp3 was the ideal format back then, but is still alive until now. My neighbors would usually give me a bittersweet smile when they hear me play songs arranged by genre. Just the other day, I played songs being played by a famous Japanese through piano. And how about the whole album of Miss Saigon? Very captivating indeed. Pop music will always be popular but classical and broadway music are songs for the soul. Just loved it when Aretha Franklin sang Natural Woman live infront of Obama. The new generation now has Tiktok with tons of new songs being played, and to dance for. But one thing I can say is, nothing really beat originally composed songs. I'm not into revivals. The original always is the best.
Time again for lunch!!! Having scrambled eggs with onion and tomatoes. It's like having breakfast. I woke up late. I usually get up around 6 or 7, but since I also slept late last night, I woke up around 9am. Time again for the daily grind. Happy day to all of you!!
Quite disappointed the way it's turning out. But I need to keep going. Perseverance is a must. If you're already at the bottom, there's no other way but up. A little bit of prayer will also help. Keep moving!
Too early to get lost. I sent my money without ticking the "convert to bch" button. Now I don't know where my funds went. Trying to check the transaction ID but the amount that I see there is in red.
Flags Aside from your country's flag and that of the U.S., can you name other flags you are familiar with? How many? Ten would be just normal. How about 20 flags? It would surely be surprising if you've got 50. There are those who have the talent to exactly name every flag the countries have. How about this, do you know such color that is not being used on flags? We are talking about primary and secondary colors here, right? As much as I can remember, there are flags with the color gold. Do you know a flag with the color purple or violet being used? How about the symbols? The stars, the sun and the moon. Animals being used also to symbolize their country. How about that leaf in the Canadian flag, what tree did it came from? Same with countries and cultures, flags have become so distinct to each other. It is a symbol of our national pride. To disrespect it is also disrespect to ourselves. But it doesn't mean that the flags we use today will remain the same in the future. Nothing is permanent. People and countries change. And with those changes, the more chances of a flag being altered. More than the color and the symbols we use in flags, we see to it that whatever flag it may be, we salute and respect the nationalism that comes with it.
It's during night time when your mind can freely look for ideas to write about. The silence surrounding you is like an environment full of mysteries to find out. Relax first before coming up with something new to write about. What you tell through writing should reflect your expressions and emotions, so people reading it would also feel what is inside your heart.
Too Late Internet really has many benefits to all of us. We find information in different search engines just by typing in key words on the topic we are looking for. Utilization of this service is must especially on times you are to decide on something or need information during critical situations. I lost my dog last month. It was traumatic for me, coz I was beside him during his last hours, the time when I see agony on his face. His last cry for help was heart breaking. I couldn't take it. So I just covered his face with a cloth and I started crying. The disease that killed him was something new to me. They called it the Parvo Virus. In a span of just two to three days, he became ill and weak. I immediately asked for advice from friends. Going to the vet was not my option back then, because of the lockdowns. And almost all of the clinics are closed. I never knew that all the information that I needed was just online. It was just a matter of little searching for topics and information from Google. But it was too late. Desperation blocked me from thinking wisely to go online and look for answers. Now with all the information that I gathered regarding the virus, I try my best to educate other pet owners here in our neighborhood. I also promised to lend a helping hand if ever they see symptoms of the disease in their pets. A lesson well learned for me. Still hesitant to get another pet. But I know that time will heal the wounds that I have in my heart. And I'll be able to have another dog to love and take care of. In memory of my loving dog, Georgie.
Pain Meter I don't know yet what exactly is the difference between an introvert and extrovert person. Guess I need to still research about it, but there are those people who has the talent to hide the pain inside them. You will see them always smiling at you, very accommodating and when you look at them, they seem to be just ok...perhaps. But what IF...what if we actually have a device to measure how one person feels, especially the pain they are experiencing at the moment? Wouldn't it be nice to know the ways on how we will be able to help them, comfort them? There has been an alarming rise of the number of suicide cases each year. And majority of that number, people were shocked to know that the person who committed suicide didn't manifest emotions of distress and depression. Wouldn't it be nice if we'll be able to measure emotions of people, as a basis for a decision we have to make? Just think of all the people whose emotions are disregarded. You always say to someone, "how are you today?". Often times they will reply, " I'm just ok, how about you?" Or "Doing great!". But most of the time, they really don't mean what they say. What if a couple broke up? Who feels the pain the most? Will we just rely on the statement that ladies always feel pain the most, whatever the reason is for the break-up? What if it they were the ones at fault? Will we be able to detect who suffers the most using this device? It would surely be a perfect application of science and technology to understand how a person feels. Science always explains why and how a person's emotions are but lacking application on real world scenarios. It would surely be gratifying if we use the device and know that all people around us are happy and contented. And we will be able to lend help or comfort to the ones suffering from pain. Depression kills. We have to fix it. And we have to do it the soonest we can.
Today's sunrise will be brighter than the previous. Tomorrow always lead us to choices which advance us to a better future. The power to decide on these choices always rests in our hands. Let's do better. Let's work harder. Let us achieve it.
Wake Me Up When This Pandemic Ends I use to celebrate Christmases alone. The one last year was actually not that different. I just hang out with neighbors sharing yuletide cheers and that's it. After a couple of hours past midnight, I just sleep till morning and plan again for the day ahead. Wish I could have celebrated it a little bit different. Not knowing what 2020 will bring us. I could have just enjoyed it so much more. Coz this year's Christmas will be so much different, so not normal. As what they say, the new normal. It was already late January when news began to spread, the onset of the Corona Virus pandemic. What used to be just a little bit of news last November turned out to be the biggest for this year, this new decade perhaps. I was already recovering from my illness that month and was planning to find a job for the next two months. But all hell broke out. The rest of the year would then follow what hell was all about. The quarantines took effect, limiting people's access to their essentials. Physical work became scarce. Unemployment shoot up. And we find ourselves in deep financial trouble. The fear of what lies ahead worried us all. Never knowing when the nightmare will end. There were so many plans for this year. So many dreams left unfulfilled. Celebrations was somehow unethical. And the system we are used to became so illogical. We needed change. We needed to adjust. Desperate times always call for desperate measures. No time to relax. You have to keep moving, just to satisfy your daily needs. It could have been different, if there was swift action to prevent the virus from spreading. But we are all in this right now. We now need to fight it. And the daily struggle that we are experiencing, will be a lesson well learned the next couple of years. I just hope that everything goes back to normal. But it might take longer than what we have expected. It's a nightmare that we are all in. And all we can do is just wait until we wake up and rise again for a beautiful future. Stay safe everyone.
Continue inspiring others!!! Don't just sit there wasting your time thinking of wonderful ideas that you can share by expressing it through words that you write in each article. Have a wonderful morning!!!
Homemade Spaghetti I know a lot of you have loved spaghetti since you were a child. I still remember the days when spaghetti was always a required dish whenever there are birthday celebrations, especially if it's a child celebrating it. But it's not just limited to birthdays. Whatever the occasion is, kids will surely ask if there's spaghetti on the table. I have already tried different kinds of spaghetti my whole life. Beef, pork, chicken, tuna or even eggplant. I have tried them all. But one thing is for sure though. The best spaghetti is the one that was cooked at home, especially by your Mom. I have tried eating outside, resto's or fast -foods, but still nothing compares to a homemade spaghetti and I really don't know why. Could it be that the serving quantity of the one being served on fast-foods ain't enough. Could it be that the you have grown accustomed to the taste of the tomato sauce that came out fresh from the can or tetra pack. It really does'nt make sense to me sometimes that I really need to compare the ingredients of the fastfood spaghetti to the one at home. I mean, they are the same, right? But still, I'm longing for the taste of the sauce and pasta mixed and cooked at home. And mind you, I still would love it even if it does'nt have grates cheese on top. But now that I already lost Mom, cooking spaghetti has become a habit. Not in a month that I would not cook it. Maybe once or twice a month. And guess what, I would really appreciate it if my neighbors give me freshly cooked spaghetti from their homes. Better than those bought on resto's. Yes, I also eat other pasta dishes. But spaghetti for me is truly more satisfying. I could not actually remember a time where I refused to eat it, if someone offered me. It's more than a tradition. It's somehow a food for my soul. Bon appetit!
Free Paying Apps Since the start of the 2019 Covid Pandemic, I have noticed an influx of free paying apps benefitting a large number of phone users worldwide. Android or IOS phones became the go-to device for someone seeking for income-generating means. The need for a person to continue working for his/her family, or even for self, has led to the advertising world to also adjust and try to reach the market for their clients' promotion. I'm very much sure that you are also getting tons of advertisements on your phone, when you browse or use social media everyday. But only a few would understand how this works for them. Their only idea is, ads are made or produced as a prerequisite to a product for it to be sold successfully. A 12-year old would just see ads as another program to enjoy on his/her device. The advertising industry is one that has been severely affected by the pandemic. Fewer people on the road would mean less ad market traffic for them. Advertising now is just limited to your 32 inch plus screens at home, and to your well-love, easy to handle and always at hand device which is your smart phone. And by that, ads began to pour in on your phone screens at every tap that you make. But not all that shows on your screen will lead the consumers to buy your product. So the advertising industry came up with promos. There absolutely are a lot of kinds of promos. There are promos that you get when the price is some percentage off of it's original price. Some promos even make you bring home two items for the price of one. But in the ever-changing mobile device world, promotions can be different. And it surely is different right now. They came up with an idea for people to earn, while promoting their clients' products. And of these products is the mobile phone application, apps for short. Whether it be Social, News, Weather or even Monetary apps, you surely have noticed that little spot on your screen, especially dedicated to ads. And quite a few people don't notice that the app itself is earning with these little infographics on their screen. App developers now took advantage of these and the only way they can attract people to use their app is rewarding them to download the app. Not only limitted to just downloading the app, they make sure also that the one downloaded it will continue using it. And people will surely continue using the app if they are earning from it. They made typing jobs that you can do on your app, play games and earn points and later on redeem rewards using those points. The app developers being able to sell their apps. The advertisers being able to promote their clients' product. And the consumers earning from those products. A perfect balance, isn't it? Well, not so.. Scams are scattered on the internet. There are apps that make you earn real money, but it could take a while before you can do so. You will see hard earned points being exchanged for a mesely amount of money. And worse, you can end up being legally charged for things you thought was legal. Working from home or being a freelancer has it's pros and cons. But we surely wanna be back to the normal world we had before. And that is working outside of our comfort without hesitation and enjoying life the way it should be. As the saying goes,"nothing is permanent". Everything's been happening right now is just temporary. The only question that remains is When. But looking at the bright side, after all has come back to it's normality, we are given choices now how to earn. Happy earnings!!!
The Intricacies of Finding the Right Partner Have you ever wondered, why of all the people so close to you, either be your neighbor or your class/workmate, you end of loving a stranger? Have you also wondered, your goal in life is finding a person who will help you through your married life, but failed in the end? Some may also say that they found the perfect partner in an imperfect person. Love, like life, is so seriously strange. One day you feel loved. The next day you wound up hurt. Is there really a perfect plan or scheme, so we'll be able to find the right person for us? I once said to myself, why choose to between love and hurt, when you can just choose to be just preoccupied with something else like your career. But in the end, I find myself being in-love again. Thus, taking the risk of being hurt again. I sometimes envy those who really grew old still together. Much more when I learned that they didn't plan anything. They just let life take it's course. Though very unlikely it may seem, some couples maintain their feelings for each other after so many years or decades. I'm already at the prime of my life now. And I see myself growing old alone, afraid of loving again. But will always be appreciative and grateful for those who have found the perfect person for the remaining years of their lives. Love is great. But life really is imbalanced. So just try to appreciate things as they are. What matters is, you enjoyed your life and that you are happy now.
