The Outer Worlds Exciting Review

0 50

The Outer Worlds was one of the games that we were waiting for both with excitement and anxiety. Judging from its videos, it was worrying that it looked like an obvious Fallout clone, but it was enough to get excited that the names behind New Vegas, one of the most popular Fallout games, were at the helm.

Let's get this one from our body; Bethesda killed Fallout. There will be those who will not agree with this opinion, but it will be right that we are not too unfair, especially considering the scandals that have taken place since the release of Fallout 76. Moreover, we say this as a platform that has largely defended the raw version of the game despite the numerous criticisms it received at the beginning. Since then, Bethesda has not only put the game in the coffin, but has continued to add new nails every day so that someone can't open the lid. Finally, they announced a monthly payment system called “Fallout First” for the production that the players are already not satisfied with and are expecting improvement. So why are we talking about this now? Because they made this announcement, mockingly, on the day The Outer Worlds debuted. Really Bethesda? Have you fallen that far? The Outer Worlds itself; Now it is better understood how accurate it is to launch it as "from the original creators of Fallout".

Yes, the names who created the Fallout universe sit in the producer seat of The Outer Worlds. This already shows how successful the game has the potential to be. And of course, the work is reminiscent of the modern era Fallout games. However, we have a simple; It should be noted that there is no "fallout clone set in space". The Outer Worlds; It takes the critical pillars of the Fallout series that we are used to and love and builds a uniquely designed building on top of it. Probably the most critical factor here is that you don't get the game with the wrong expectation. Because The Outer Worlds is not a game of the caliber of Fallout in terms of map size, gameplay time, or content richness. However, it was a much more compact production that understood what it was doing much better and told the actor his troubles without wasting time on haybe. During approximately 30 hours of gameplay, you will have the opportunity to experience role-playing elements “to your liking” in semi-open world designed regions scattered in different places. We cannot underline how important this part is and how well The Outer Worlds is doing its job in this department. Because so many role-playing games have promised to “play as you want”, very few have met the requirements of that promise. You expect a production that promises this to offer a structure where you can take your gun in your hand and overcome every problem with brute force, get rid of problems only with the ability of your sentences, or secretly reach the goal without getting into anything. Of course, the fact that a game offers these mechanics does not mean that the player can play the game the way he wants. Because in order for a player to prefer brute force, the action and conflict mechanics of the game must be satisfactory. Or, if he wants to progress on the basis of diplomacy, it is expected that the dialogues written should be of high quality, the options are meaningful and the results plausible. The Outer Worlds; It has become a role-playing game that succeeds in offering the right value for every game type you prefer.

CREATIVE SOLUTIONS

In fact, the most critical part here lies in how creative solutions we can come up with without picking up our gun and going too often. Because conflicts are the first joke that comes to mind and it is not very difficult to make; Would you believe it, of all the gameplay options, the least satisfying part was the combat. In The Outer Worlds, you can focus your character points completely on technical areas and eliminate all your problems by hacking computers, or you can create a stealth-based character and advance towards your goal without getting involved with enemies. Unfortunately, there are always conflicts that you will have to enter even if you don't want to, the game has not been able to completely save itself from this. We have to point this out as a minor minus.

BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF SENTENCES!

However, among all the options, the most remarkable and in our opinion the most perfect was the way of diplomacy. For one thing, there are too many characters in the game that you can communicate with, and almost all of these characters are painted close to perfection. All kinds of NPC characters you would want in a role-playing game are available in this game, with their backgrounds, goals, motivations and voiceovers. Moreover; The Obsidian team has put on a show in their dialogue writing. What good use of humor is that? How is that a masterful literary expression? And how accurate are their dialogue choices? Have you ever had to choose between options that do not exactly correspond to what you want to say during a dialogue while playing a role-playing game? You're definitely stuck because almost every role-playing game suffers from this limitation. But The Outer Worlds; In almost all of the dialogues, he managed to add the closest options to what you have in mind. There is the quality part of this job and the fun part. For example, you aim to overcome your problems by telling insidious lies. You don't just do this by piling points on relevant features. You open the necessary dialogue option by doing research on that situation, learning the hidden elements, and catching a hole. This process has been so satisfying that if we had the opportunity, we would not even buy a gun once and finish the whole game like this.

DISPROPORTIONATE

But you have to buy that gun. Some will take relatively little, but you have to buy and use it somehow. The conflicts are certainly not of poor quality, but it is difficult to say that they are the shining star. V.A.T.S., which we know from the Fallout series. A similar system to the system is also present here, but handled in a different way. Here is a system where you can slow down the time and shoot at the desired point of the opponent. And every point you shoot has a different result. For example, if you shoot in the face, your enemy will be blinded, or if you shoot their legs, they will start to limp. Dismantling a critical enemy right at the beginning of the conflict can make your job quite easy. Speaking of facilitating, let's talk about one of the negative aspects of the game. Unfortunately, the game could not adjust the strength curve of your enemies proportionally. Especially from the middle of the game, you become much more "strong" than your opponents. We don't just mean physical strength. Whichever way you choose, after a point nothing becomes an obstacle for you. This is a minus, but it is not a minus at the level that will kill the enormous game world and story transfer that has been created.

ONE OF THE BEST JOBS OF THE YEAR

Although The Outer Worlds is smaller in scale than Fallout productions, it stands out for doing everything it does very well and not firing almost any bullets in vain. We highly recommend this game, whose humor and art direction we especially love, to anyone who loves role-playing games.

During your journey in The Outer Worlds, you will find your way to different planets and space bases. These regions, each of which is designed as a semi-open world, have been extremely impressive.

I was very impressed with the art direction of the game. Bioshock from time to time, and from time to time Borderlands, also serves the humor aspect of this type of game.
