FOR SUGAR CARAMEL:
¼ cup sugar
FOR CUSTARD MIXTURE:
3-4 slice bread, brown or white
2 cup milk
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup custard powder, vanilla flavoured
INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO PREPARE :
· Let us start first, take a pan and pour ¼ cup sugar in a pan and heat on low to medium flame on gas. stir in between until sugar melts completely well.
· for caramelized sugar you need to continue to heat on low to medium flame until the sugar turns golden brown. this stage of sugar is called caramelized sugar.
· pour the caramelized sugar into a small bowl and swirl slightly to coat the wall of the bowl. keep aside.
· now take 3-4 slices bread, and trim off the sides.
· pulse into crumbs using a mixi or mixer. make sure to pulse and blend and not make a paste. keep aside.
· take 2 cup milk in a large bowl, , ¼ cup sugar and ¼ cup custard powder.
· make sure there are no lumps. so whisk and mix well until everything is well combined.
· transfer the milk mixture into a large kadai and cook on medium flame until the milk thickens well.
· now time to add in crumbled bread and mix well.
· then continue to cook until the mixture turns super creamy and its turn thick.
· take a bowl of caramelized sugar pour the mixture into it.
· place in the steamer for 30-35 minutes.
· refrigerate for 1 hour or until it cool and sets completely.
· finally, unmould and enjoy caramel bread pudding share with your friends and family and share your experience with us.
