INGREDIENTS
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 1 medium sized chopped onion,
• 3 small sized chopped tomatoes
• 1 large sized potato, cubed
• 1 tablespoon kashmiri red chili powder / lal mirch powder
• ½ tablespoon turmeric / haldi powder
• 2 tablespoon pav bhaji masala (any brand)
• 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste / adrak - lasun paste
• 1 small sized chopped capsicum
• ½ cup peas / matar, (fresh / frozen)
• salt to taste
• 1.5 cups of water
OTHER INGREDIENTS:
• 2 tablespoon butter
• ½ chopped onion
• 3 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
• 5 pav / bread
• 1 lemon, sliced
INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO COOKED :
Let us start first, take a pressure cooker heat butter and saute onions then add ginger-garlic paste and saute after sometime you can add capsicum and saute for a minute.
furthermore, saute tomatoes till they turn soft and mushy.
now its a time to add green peas, potato and saute for a minute.
further, turmeric, pav bhaji masala ,add chili powder, and salt. saute well for a minute.
Now you also add 1.5 cups of water and mix well.
cover and pressure cook for 3 whistles and mash all the vegetables well so that they mixed good.
optionally, add a tablespoon of butter for more flavours.
now we start , heat tawa and add a tablespoon of butter and prepared pav bhaji.
further, slit the pav in centre of tawa.
spread and toast well both the sides.
finally its ready to, serve pav bhaji along with toasted pav garnished with few chopped onions, coriander leaves and a piece of lemon and serve with friends and family and share how much you like.
Notes:
• firstly, add more vegetables of your choice to make it more nutritious and flavor.
• also pressure cook till all vegetables are cooked completely.
• moreover, pav bhaji taste great when prepared on tawa rather than pressure cooker. refer the recipe for pav-bhaji in tawa.
• additionally, adjust the spice level by varying the amount of chili powder as per your taste.
• finally, pav bhaji in pressure cooker can also be prepared in open vessel like served in streets of mumbai.
