A research on the cryptocurrency industry was recently performed by the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance and has produced some promising results. The 3rd Global Cryptoasset Benchmark Report , published in September 2020, shows that total global users have nearly tripled in value since 2018.
The Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance concluded in 2018 that there were 35 million users globally; according to analysts, it now stands at more than 100 million.
The study also noted that the number of addresses related to the identity of a person has increased.
Self-hosted wallets were not counted by the research team
The study also found that job opportunities in some industries continued to expand strongly, while slowing down overall growth.
According to the results, company and institutional customers account for
30 percent of service providers in North America and Europe.
