To put it simply, dogs are awesome. Whether they beg for your food, bark at their leash to persuade you to take them for a walk, or just say hello to you when you get home, dogs do all the little things that put smiles on the world's faces. What are some of the most endearing reasons why dogs are the best friend of a man and will always be him?
We treat our dogs like relatives, make sure that they are protected by dog insurance, and lavish them with plenty of treats! Their dog is, to many owners, truly their best friend.
How did a man's dog become his best friend?
In both Europe and Asia, a new report has indicated that dogs are domesticated.
If you go through stories and hearsay, such as the story recorded in the 'Alpha' movie, then a hunter makes friends with a wounded wolf. But, alas, there is still not much evidence to back up these arguments.
Many experts, however, appear to agree on another hypothesis - one that interestingly includes wolves domesticating themselves in a manner.
Some started to test the water as wolves began to meet humans instead of running away and holding their distance.
They may have begun to be able to pick up on human signs, and in response, people started to develop a bond in time. Once the bond was formed, people began to realize that they could breed dogs for specific purposes such as hunting, rehabilitation, farming, herding, and tracking.
It seems we learned somewhere along the line that dogs would simply be fabulous company and faithful friends, and so we raised dogs as house pets to be by our side, too.
Why do dogs have friendships with humans?
Yeah, it's easy nowadays to see why we're getting so much out of our canine companions.
We provide them with everything, including shelter, warmth, food, and protection. This has come to be seen by modern domesticated dogs as a natural way of living.
And as described above, wild wolves may have been friends with humans initially because they either discovered that we were an extra source of food (giving them scraps) or they felt that it was easier to be nice to us and survive than to cause confrontation and risk killing.
Again, these are all myths, but they appear to be sound reasons why dogs are nice to humans.
Here are ten reasons why dogs are a man’s best friend:
Dogs are an amazing company. Dogs are a fantastic company, first and foremost. They're there even when you feel lonely and down, looking back at you with those puppy dog eyes.
We have a friendship of mutual benefit. Over the years, a very unique partnership has formed between humans and canines, which works well for both parties. Dogs get love, shelter, food, and live in a safe environment. We get business, love, allegiance, and engagement.
They're still excited about seeing us. It’s the best feeling when you come home after a long day, and there’s a big waggy tail there to greet you. Dogs express their affection every time we return home by jumping for joy and being so excited that we've come back to see them.
They will do anything for us. They were known to save their owner from all kinds of sticky circumstances and put themselves at risk just to lend a hand (or paw). Part of the reason our relationship with them is rock solid is that we know that they will do anything to protect us when it comes to it.
They teach us things about life. Maybe that they motivate us to live our best lives is part of the reason why we have such a strong friendship with them. They teach us to live with our family at the moment and enjoy the time.
They unconditionally love us. Dogs aren't as complex as human beings. It will be eternal until they love us. And without judgment or strain, they love us. They're just there, still wagging their tails, showing us just how much we mean to them. And for us humans, it is so precious to be loved by an animal no matter what we do, what errors we make, or how we behave.
They can benefit our health. They said that, because of their increased level of exercise, dog owners are more likely to be happier overall. Others also say that women sleep better than other humans when they cuddle up next to their pets.
Dogs are there, no matter what. It can help to have a dog around when you're going through a difficult time. Sometimes when you don't want the human touch, when things get rough, what you want is to curl up with your furry buddy on the sofa. Dogs don't leave us, they stick through thick and thin by our side. Research has also found that dogs can help lower the level of stress and increase work productivity.
They're protecting us. Although some dogs may have been used to help protect livestock, people have come to acknowledge their ability to keep us safe over time.
They've got amazing abilities and creativity. To do lots of different jobs, humans have bred dogs. From collies herding sheep and Labradors guiding the blind to today's medical detection dogs, different breeds have different skill sets.
The range of skills dogs have is quite extraordinary and yet another reason why we value them so much.
Yup, I am more social with dogs than humans. Every introvert's personality 😆
