Is your child a picky eater? Do you struggle to feed them? Are they choose to eat unhealthy foods rather than eating some nutritious food like vegetables and fruits?

There's a lot of mom struggling in feeding their child of healthy food. Who is responsible for this? Moms are you guilty of this? Let's find out why your child having difficulties eating the right food.

There are steps to become your kids healthy.

  1. Eating habits. Make sure your child can eat healthy foods. Optimum growth of the child starts from breastfeeding. It's best for our babies. At 6 months old, our babies can start to eat puree food, at 8 months old can eat finger foods, at 10 months old they can eat lumpy foods. And finally, at 12 months old they can eat solid foods like adult's food. At this stage, you can introduce a variety of foods. Complimentary feeding is important for them because it helps for their optimal growth, body digestion, and body composition, and developing healthy food preferences.

  2. Nutrients.

    There are two kinds of nutrients:

    • Essential nutrients are found by what we eat. It is vital for the growth and good health.

      • Protein provides the building blocks of the body. It is primarily for growth, health, and body maintenance. Food with protein is meat, fish, and eggs.

      • Carbohydrates can fuel your central nervous system and brain. Food with carbohydrates is whole grain, beans, vegetables, and fruits with rich in fiber.

      • Fats are an important part of a healthy diet. Fats support the function of your babies such as building cells, muscle movement, blood clotting, and vitamin and mineral absorption. Foood with fats are nuts, seeds, fish, avocado, vegetable oil like olive, and coconut oil.

      • Vitamins. Vitamin A, C, B6, and D are the essential vitamins needs of the body. These vitamins are good for vision, skin, and bones.

      • Minerals for strong bones and teeth, metabolism, and properly hydrated. Minerals include calcium, iron, and zinc.

      • Water is the most important for every system in our body. It keeps your body hydrated, helps flush toxins, and prevent constipation. You may find this on spinach, fruits, and vegetables.

    • Non-essential nutrients don't need to acquire in our bodies. We all know that fast foods meal is one of the unhealthy foods. It is necessary to give them a fast food meal in irregularly. As they grow, they develop food preferences. So, we need to know when it starts as early as possible. So that while they were young, their food preferences are healthy foods. Food and beverages advertise online shows of unhealthy foods. As early as possible, we need to train our children to eat nutritious food. Most of the time our child is refuse to introduce them to other vegetables like broccoli and moms keep forcing their kids to eat that. But, is it right to force them to eat the food they don't like. Moms, are you guilty in this kind of situation? Well, change this kind of habit because they might be having a negative emotional effect on them. It usually happens when parents are stress, under pressure on household tasks, and anxiety. Now that we have a crisis, we decided to take risks when it comes to the food we eat. We choose to order some fast food meals to be delivered or stock canned goods.

Signs that your child is a picky eater:

  • Fickle-minded.

  • They are more likely to playing around rather than eating.

  • They stick to food what they know.

  • They are more likely a liquid diet.

  • They don't want to taste another kind of food.

  • Drolling and difficult biting foods and swallow it.

  • Tantrums while you introduce them to a new kind of food.

  • Can't handle the food they don't like.

  • They use to eat 20 kinds of food.

  • They eat foods in particular places with particular people.

Tips for picky-eaters:

  1. Reduce screen times like watching tv, computer, tablet, video game times. Too much-watching tv or gadgets uses will lead to obesity because usually, they do by lie down.

  2. Set time for food. Aim 5 times meal like 3 meals and 2 snacks with water.

  3. Don't force your child to eat they don't like it. Especially, when their food didn't eat out of 30 minutes.

  4. Talk about fruits and vegetables. It is important to ask them what food they want. Engage them in your food preparation for them to enjoy and become interesting.

  1. Playtime. Give them a time to play like physical activities for a strong and healthy body. Engage them in physical activities and keep them active at home and school activities.

  2. Limit them from sugary foods like chocolates and candies. Also, avoid carbonated drinks as possible.

The more healthy we are, the more we have happy hormones in our body.
