The human being and the transformation of his environment

One of the philosophical subjects that I find most interesting is, without a doubt, anthropology, since from it I have understood and continue to deepen the particularity of the human being before all other beings in the world.

For this reason, today I want to consider how our relationship with what surrounds us is not at all neutral since above all we have a reaction, which is nothing more than a call to transform that which we encounter every day.

APPROACH

The human being transforms the reality around him because when he becomes aware of something, he begins to understand it better and can either damage it or optimize it.

Perhaps the clearest example is the technological advances, where this power to transform reality can be felt by the human being. But also, we can consider the change (for better or worse) that it causes in nature: with the slashing and burning or, better, the conservation and care of the environment.

ELEMENTS

- We are not indifferent to our environment. For even when we do not do anything concrete about something, we have a certain understanding of what surrounds us, which potentially opens us to an action or omission about it.

- We are co-creators of things. By transforming what surrounds us for the better, we become the architects of a better world.

- The fate of the world is in our hands. Therefore, everything is interconnected; what one human generation has accomplished influences others in one way or another.

APPLICATION

- Value our stay on earth. Let us not be indifferent to the world and its things, I always say that we are here to leave a mark, whether it is big or small.

- To participate to the extent of our possibilities in the well-being of creation. To make the world a more humane place, to leave it better than we found it.

- To think about the future. Everything we do today will have consequences for tomorrow, not only for ourselves and those around us but for the generations that will come after us.

Here we can think about social struggle, scientific and technological developments, care for the environment, among other things.
