Academic stress is mental distress with respect to some anticipated frustration associated with academic failure. or even unawareness to the possibility of such failure. Students have to face many academic demands, for. example, school examination, answering questions in the class, showing progress in school subjects.

Failure to reach the school requirements and difficulty to choose a career are the main reasons why students are experiencing stress. Stress also induce anxiety to the students that they’ll think negatively about their performance in school and eventually lose their self confidence.

There are three types of stress according to American Psychological Association (APA) – acute stress, episodic acute stress, and chronic stress.

Students most likely to develop acute stress or the reactive thinking of negative thoughts about situations when things don’t go according to their plan, frequent triggers of stress will result to episodic acute stress or can be also called as anxiety. Chronic stress is the most harmful type of stress it destroys lives, bodies and minds.

Many graduates ended up working a job different from their courses. 😅 either they don't like the course and were just chosen by their parents, or find it difficult to find a job related to their course.. Academic stress is also brought by parental pressure...as I have said, some parents choose courses for their kids even if their kids don't like it. ..
