2XXX aluminum alloys (are alloys in which aluminum (Al) is the main metal. Typical alloying elements are copper, magnesium, manganese, silicon, tin, and zinc. About 85% of aluminium is used in wrought products such as rolled sheets, foils and extrusions. Cast aluminum alloys produce cost-effective products due to their low melting points, although their tensile strength is generally lower than that of wrought alloys.
