Xian Lim has recently been into cooking during the quarantine season. On his social media account, the actor has been sharing photos of himself cooking lately.
The Love Thy Woman star began the video by cracking a joke about wanting to become a great chef, "This is my journey para maging isang mahusay na chef. World's Best Chef."
The actor then revealed that for his cooking video, he will be trying to make Paella with the help of Chef Reggie Aspiras, a food consultant and culinary instructor.
However, what buzzed the online community was Xian's trip to the supermarket to buy the ingredients he needed for the Paella.
Xian could not help but express his shock over the price of Himalayan salt which is a type of rock salt.
"363 Himalayan salt. Iodized salt na lang tayo. Dun na lang tayo sa pinakamurang asin," Xian said as he went to grab a pack of Iodized salt instead.
"363 versus 27 pesos? Dun tayo sa 27 pesos," the actor added.
His reaction also elicited various comments from netizens on social media as well.
"May mas mura pa diyan. Punta ka sa palengke."
"Relate ko yung prices, ang mahal ng mga bibilhin."
"Wise spender, very good @xianlimm."
"Health wise Himalayan salt better than regular salt, go for natural sea salt @xianlimm."
