Random stuff that makes me happy!
I may have aged, but deep inside, I feel like a kid because little things can make me easily happy.
Hola, my dear friends. I hope you are happy today. "Happiness is just around the corner", and "Happiness is what you make it", as the sayings go. True or true?
I wanted to make an article about happiness. Tonight, my Saoirse and I played with a cup. I sanctioned it using my face, she tried to pull it out and she was giggling all the time. Pure happiness. This bundle of happiness never fails to make my day. And I also got a hug from my eldest, Bam. I found peace.
**Happiness and peace, that's what we want to live with every day. Do you agree?**
I stated that little stuff makes me happy and appreciate life. Yup, let me share what they are:
Sitting in a park or in front of the horizon on the sea side
When I was too tired a week after work, I usually spend idle time in Ayala Triangle. I love the silence of being just myself. It's my breather. I just sit down and observe. I let my thoughts and emotions pass by. Sometimes, I'd go to Mall of Asia, to the ocean side, and just sit and listen to the sound of the waves. I won't deny it, I sometimes observe lovers saying lies to each other, joke-their sweet nothings and stuff. Yeah, I eavesdrop. Kidding. I enjoy solitude.
Watching the sunset or sunrise
There is nothing more pleasant to my eyes than witnessing the promise of a new tomorrow. I appreciate that God has given me two beautiful eyes that make me see His wonders. I would just look at the sky and remember the breathtaking sights and let them stay in my heart, forever. It's just pure happiness and bliss whenever I do it.
Coffee
It's a part of my everyday life. It just melts my stress away. Coffee is like my ally. It understands how I am feeling and it assures me good company. One sip is to wake me up, the rest of the sips are for dreaming and thinking how my day should go and what should I do.
Blueberry cheesecake
Before, I used to hunt for blueberry cheesecakes. I needed to discover which resto or cafe offers the best cheesecake in town. Some were good, some were a letdown. But no matter where I buy it, as long as it's a cheesecake, it makes me happy.
A text or a phone call from a friend
Of course, who wouldn't be happy when someone checks on you and does not borrow money or ask you to join networking? I really am glad when a friend texts, calls or messages me. Everyone is struggling right now and for that friend to spend a minute or two with me makes me thankful and feel special. Sorry about the networking, it's just that I've experienced it so many times already. They will only remember you if they wanna recruit you.
A hug
A simple hug or a pat on the back can make my day. We all need to feel valued sometimes. It makes me happy to receive that simple gesture.
Chocolate
I love dark chocolate because it is healthier but if you wanna give me chocolate? I would gladly accept whatever that is. I remember my ex-bf who bought me boxes of chocolate from Hawaii, man, they were so delicious. He also included Ferrero and strictly told me not to share. Of course, I didn't follow, I love sharing. Everyone was happy in the boarding house, especially the landlady.
A good movie
I love to just sit or lie down and watch a good movie. If I am satisfied with the movie, then, I am happy. I usually go for action or suspense movies because I love the thrill. I also go for comedies and horrors, if my mood allows it. Speaking of movies, I found out that "3 Idiots" is on Netflix. I just didn't know where the headset is so I could watch without disturbing everyone because there are no subtitles. And I used to watch movies in the cinema alone too, it makes me happy spending some time with myself.
Walking
It doesn't matter if it's walking with nature or walking on a busy road, walking makes me happy. Perhaps because it's an exercise and the body releases happy hormones. I can walk for miles, my eyes love to feast on the sceneries. Now I miss BGC, I used to walk from work to my boarding house, vice versa. It has nice parks and buildings.
A good sleep
When was the last time I slept peacefully? I couldn't remember! All I know right now is I gotta wake up from time to time when the baby cries and that I sleep in one position with my back and tummy exposed to the electric fan. I'll be very happy if I could have a good, peaceful sleep once again. But 4 hours of straight sleep is enough for me to be happy. Now you'll know it when I am grumpy.
A piece of good music
I love dancing but either a piece of music to sing or dance along with, is enough for me to be happy. It's a good outlet to express myself you know. Although I am not sure if the people around me would be happy to hear my voice.
Am I too much my friends or just enough? Simple things do make me happy. I wanna add holding hands and a kiss to my list. How about you, what are your simple joys?
I am not sure if I could stay too long because my baby slept late. I will try my best to read your articles and upvote, I apologize if I can't but rest assured I will make it up tomorrow.
To everyone- my sponsors, subscribers, upvoters, commenters: THANK YOU, SO VERY MUCH!
Love,

Non-religious songs that are good for the soul!
Hello, my dear read friends! My day has been pretty hectic looking after this little human being who makes me laugh every day. She makes me crazy but she does give me so much joy no one has ever given.
Whenever I put her to sleep, I sometimes sing lullabies for her, some lovesongs, made-up songs- anything that could make her go to dreamland.
Music is good for the heart and soul, just like laughter, the world would be so lonely without it.
There are songs that I like that inspire me to conquer the world again. They lift my spirit up and push me to say, "I got this!"...They always work.
I suggest you check them out and see if you like them. Here are the titles:
"Don't you ever wish" by Joey McIntyre
This song is about being content of one's self. Everyone is unique and special, there should be no comparison. We shouldn't be envious of what others have, instead, let us strive to go for what we desire because we all have the capacity to do so. We just got to believe in ourselves first that we can achieve whatever it is we want to achieve if we put our mind and soul into the works.
**"This is my fight song" by Rachel Platten**
This one really makes me dance and makes me feel good about fighting for my dreams. It makes me appreciate what I have that could make a difference in this world. It doesn't matter if I only have one talent or skill because if I hone it and excel with it, it's enough in bringing me where I wanna be.
"Firework" by Katy Perry
I love this song because it makes me feel relevant and important. Being with my authentic self is better than being a copycat and that I have a place under the sun. Sometimes there won't be opportunities but that's okay because I am an opportunity, a firework that I can go on fire to prove to everyone that I am wonderful and I matter.
"That's the way it is" by Celine Dion
This song never ceases to amaze me. It touches the depth of my being. It's like it knows the challenges I am facing and that I can win only if I put my heart and strength into it. And the answer to emptiness and worries is love. We also should not give up but have faith and hope. How sweet could this song be?
"Skyscraper" by Demi Lovato
This song might be a little emotional but it does give me hope whenever I am so down. There were circumstances when I lost a relationship and that somehow it tainted my name. I never felt so alone. This song reminded me that I can pick myself up and rise again.
"You Gotta Be" by Des Ree
Aside from loving Des Ree's vocals, I love her songs, and this one's my favorite. It pushes me to be what I want to be. I can dare to dream about something that seems impossible or others think I may not deserve and I have to be bold and wiser to pull it through.
I am pretty sure you can add more songs but these ones are my personal preferences because of the experiences attached to them. I do hope that musicians and artists could create more meaningful songs because they could really impact people positively.
Music heals and strengthens.
This is it for tonight or today, my friends. I hope you could listen to a song or two. Who knows it's all you need to get started?
**To my sponsors, subscribers, commenters, and upvoters- thank you very much. Keep on singing!**
Love,
Glessa

My ideal guy! 🤦♂️🤷♂️💓
How are you, my dear read friends? Know what? Wonderful things happened today! First, I was able to send a donation for a worthy cause- thanks to read, I am able to donate from my earnings here, and second, I ordered food from foodpanda, much thanks to PayPal for the free $5. Since I am a new foodpanda customer, the delivery fee was for free. How lucky could I be! That was an ideal type of day that I should experience often.
But my topic for today is not related to my free food and free delivery experience. It's different.
We all have this fantasy about Mr. Right or The One that we want to end up with. And I understand some people who no longer believe in love because of heartaches. The devastation caused by breakups is a total catastrophe, a tragedy that really breaks a person's soul or whole being. I, for one, experienced such loss. Where waking up seemed to be torture because I could feel the pain again the moment I am conscious.
But it is great to love and be loved, ain't it? And I always look for characteristics in a guy before I consider a deeper relationship.
While I no longer believe in a lot of ideals in this world, I still have a preference for what my ideal guy should be. I am in a relationship but it doesn't mean that I no longer have this kind of thought. Please respect. Lol.
**God-fearing/ Knows what is morally wrong from right**
It is really different if you are with a man who knows what is wrong from right, otherwise, the relationship will be in a very bad state. I used to be with someone who loves to lie and pretend. He usually doesn't know the right thing to do most of the time, so I had a lot of disappointments and frustrations.
I am not yet married and I know some of you will think I am living in sin and I respect that, but I do have plans of settling down. I didn't really like living together but I didn't have a choice. So many of my personal issues.
What I meant is, the man should know the right thing to do according to his moral standards by how he was raised by his parents, and how he should act as per society's laws.
Respectful
A man who respects his mother is a good man and I believe this. If a man is respectful, you will feel that you are lucky because he will uphold your dignity not shatter it in front of other people when he has the chance. He will protect your name and your relationship no matter what happens.
Honest
I like an honest man and I always believe in "Honesty is the best policy". If he cannot be honest with you, how can you make sure he is honest all the time? Do you want a relationship full of lies, deception, and pretension? It is a toxic relationship, really. I've been there. In the first instance that you've observed your partner likes to lie a lot, you better think twice if you want to continue the relationship or not.
Romantic
Who doesn't want to be with a romantic person? He doesn't have to give me the world, his heart would be enough.
A romantic person knows how to make you happy. He will try his best to make you feel special and that you are important in his life. He doesn't have to remember our monthsary all the time but, all I want is little acts of sweetness from time to time.
Responsible
I like a responsible man. I am turned on when someone knows household chores, not a guy who always calls his mom because he doesn't know how to wash his underwear or cook rice. Sorry guys. Not only he is responsible in that aspect of life, but a responsible individual as a whole to his family, to nature, and to society.
Determined
I want a man who is willing to fight for his dreams, who is determined to sacrifice and go through hardships just to give his family a good life. He doesn't have to become a millionaire or something like that, I want a man who knows what he wants in life and is unstoppable in reaching for his dreams.
With a sense of humor
Who likes a boring person? I don't want to date someone who doesn't know how to make me laugh. That kind of person when the mosquitoes speak on his behalf. I want a man I can spend fun times with, who knows how to joke and who gets my jokes as well. It would be nice to be around that man. Lucky is the woman who has this kind of man.
A foodie
I like a guy who likes food trip from time to time. Who will call or text me like, "Darling, you know what? There's a new resto or cafe around the corner. Would you like us to see and try?". It would be like winning a lottery for me, a dream come true. Wow.
When I was heartbroken, my friend, John, advised me to write 3 characteristics of my ideal guy in a notebook and I should say "Thank you 3x" after reading that characteristic. Then, I should add 3 more characteristics day after day. This is to attract the man that I wanted to be with. I am not sure though if it was effective. The secret of law attraction lies with the emotions, not the words spoken. Take it from me, my friend. But my partner is a good man, that I know even if he is not my ideal guy.
How about you, what characteristics are you looking for a man or woman, my friend? Have you found him or her, why or why not? Let's talk, do share your experience by commenting below.
And I hope that you are having a great dinner or breakfast wherever in the world you might be.
I appreciate all of your support guys, thank you very much.
With much love,
Glessa

How I got scammed in Paypal!
Hello dear read friends, how are you all doing? I hope you are warm on this cold and rainy day.
Something great happened today, I got a free $5 from PayPal and I am so happy because it is not every day that you will be given a monetary blessing so I appreciate it a lot. And I tried to log in to my partner's PayPal account so we can see if he has the free $5 too but too bad I forgot the password. I will deal with it later.
My story for today is how I got scammed in PayPal and this happened way back in 2019. I didn't tell my partner, I dealt with the stress alone until we had an argument. One important piece of advice: please do not trust anyone who offers big incentives for those who have PayPal and Gcash or Paymaya because it is a scam.
I have mentioned before that I was pregnant and since my partner didn't have a job, I had to work. I worked part-time as a chat moderator. The pay wasn't that much but at least I have something for my check-ups and laboratories. But one day, the client pulled out so I was jobless.
I saw this tempting offer on Facebook. I already knew the red flag but since I badly needed money, I chatted with the person named Jen. She told me that they will give me as much as 10,000 for the transactions. All I have to do is give my PayPal password and Gcash MPIN so she can process the transactions. My gut told me not to do it but I wanted to pay my PhilHealth so I gave my credentials.
The first amount that I received was 30,000. Someone sent me money to my Paypal account, then Jen would log in and transfer the money to my Gcash. The authorization code was sent to my phone so I would stay late just to process the transfer. PayPal then sensed a suspicious activity in my account and froze the money so I sent them my proof of billing to lift the hold. It started to become inconvenient.
There were transfers of 5,000 then 3,000, then 20,000.
I know how money laundering works and I couldn't believe that I am allowing them to do it. I wanted to stop but I think it was too late.
Then one day, the person who sent 30,000 opened a case against me so I contacted Jen. I told her what would happen because I used to work with eBay and I know how PayPal worked and she contacted her boss but her boss didn't bother. I felt rage that time but I was also blaming myself because I was blinded by the money, by my need.
The people who sent me money all opened cases against me. I am just glad that I was no longer working because I didn't have any balance in my account otherwise, I will be giving my money for nothing. In short, there were cases opened against me for I think, more or less than 60,000 and the money I got for the service fee was only 9,000. So much for the service, yeah? I lost my PayPal account and my credibility.
Then Jen advised me to declare that my account was hacked so the cases won't be taken against me and all the other stuff but it was too late. I learned my lesson, the hardest way, and I was so freaking stressed out being 5 months pregnant.
So whenever someone offers a too-good-to-be-true payment to you, be suspicious. Here is how they appear on social media:
They will announce if you want to earn big money in a short time
All you need is to have PayPal and Gcash
The PayPal account should be verified and at least 1 year old
There should be at least 100,00 pesos worth of transactions
The Gcash account should be fully verified
Once you have all these, they will get your PayPal password and Gcash MPIN and perform a sample transaction. You will get your very first payment and you will be happy, not knowing what lies ahead in the next series of transactions.
These people will not only scam you but PayPal as well. The cycle is like this:
They will send money to your PayPal account
You will send the money from your PayPal account to Gcash/PayMaya then from Gcash or PayMaya to someone else's wallet
Then the buyer who sent the money will open a PayPal case against you
You will be advised by PayPal to work it out. Would you pay them with the same amount for the money you never personally received?
You can try reaching out to the buyer who doesn't have a valid email address. Believe me, their email addresses bounced back when I tried sending them emails
PayPal will then decide the case in the buyer's favor
PayPal will refund the buyer and will try to take the money from your balance
You will have a negative balance
Losing the case will negatively affect your account
The buyer now has their money and PayPal's refund. A great way to earn, isn't it?
I was crying alone, Jen tried to console me by not getting the last amount of money sent to my PayPal account. There was I think, 19,000 pesos. She told me that she will not allow her boss to get the money and she changed the PayPal password. She said that the money was now mine and I can do whatever I want with it. How could I transfer all of it when my account was frozen? So I let it be. Now, I couldn't access my PayPal account anymore.
So my friends, please be made aware and be very careful of making some transactions with strangers online. Protect yourself and your financial details. Everyone is a target.
I now have a new PayPal account which is used for personal reasons. I could not make a business account anymore but I am okay with it. I am not working for now anyway and I have a Payoneer account as well. I will use it next time I work from home.
Have you been a victim of online fraud or scams? What did you do? Share your experience below and let us help in spreading awareness about it.
And to everyone- from my sponsors to commenters, I really appreciate everything that you do guys. You all keep me going.
Have a blast!

I need a mental health break!
How are you, my dear read friends? I am not supposed to publish an article today, but I just can't stop thinking about reading your posts and stuff. Read is already ingrained in my system, the friendships that I have here with you are kind of addicting. It really, makes me curious how things are going on with the people here.
Anyways, I am to the point of not liking where I am. Yeah, I am not gonna rant, just trying to get this out of my head. Perhaps taking care of a baby and staying inside the house is becoming monotonous.
Yesterday, I was cleaning our room. Someone in the house, I already knew who it is, peed on the floor and didn't even wash it! I got so upset. You know, I didn't work in college and graduated with honors just to be someone's caretaker. Sorry, it hurt my pride so badly. I needed a breather from everything. Argggh, I need a mental health break!
And I can't wait to finish watching "The 100" because I feel like losing interest in it already. But I really wanna see how it's finished so I am skipping some scenes that I think are no longer necessary to watch. Just for my mental health and looking at things positively, here are some good quotes from the series:
**"May we meet again"**
This is a quote uttered whenever someone dies as the people in the series believe in the afterlife. They usually say this during a funeral service, however, as the series progressed, it is being said whenever people needed to be separated because of a mission or a situation.
This quote represents positivity and hope. That whatever our situation is, if we are being separated from the people we care about, perhaps here or in the other world, we would meet again.
**"Your fight is over"**
"The 100" has a lot of war scenes and when an opponent is killed or executed, they say "Your fight is over" or when someone is giving up, they also say it.
For me, this quote shows bravery. It is not easy to say that you are giving up or surrendering, but sometimes, we have to face the fact that we lost and that our fight in this life is already over. It is now in the hands of whom you left behind to carry whatever mission that is you have.
**"My sister, my responsibility"**
This quote was used by Bellamy Blake since his sister was born. He has been a responsible brother ever since. He followed her to Earth just to protect her.
This is very relatable to everyone. We always feel responsible for the people we love, even though they might compromise our own beliefs or life. While this is true, we should realize that we won't be held responsible forever because our loved ones have free will. They should be accountable for their own actions. And that no matter how we love a child, a brother, or a sister, we should set them free because we do not own them.
**"We survive and then we take humanity back"**
It takes a lot of guts and strong determination to survive, especially in the series where they had to live underground because of the radiation. They had to sacrifice their own people to survive like they had to eat human meat from those who lost in the fights so they can have protein in their diet, otherwise, they won't make it.
Being human is difficult when you are to choose who lives and who dies or you gotta do things that are morally questionable for the greater good. What will you do if you have to kill innocent people because their leader gave you no choice, so you could save your own people?
**"We can't save them if they don't want to be saved"**
True or true? There were instances in the series where they tried to save the grounders from being attacked but the grounders didn't leave their homes. Most of them died instead.
So how can you save someone who doesn't wanna be saved? Aren't you just wasting your effort? Same with several people who kept on complaining about their situation and stuff but don't wanna do things differently. It's like giving a life jacket to a drowning person who didn't take it and still shouts for help.
**"Good can come out of even the darkest acts"**
This was mentioned when the leaders in the series "The 100" told everyone they had to sacrifice 300 people so they could save oxygen and live a little longer in space. Men and women volunteered to be put to their deaths so their loved ones could live. How heroic could that be? If this happens to you, would you do it for your child or your parents?
There you go, my friends. I hope you like the quotes. You see, life teaches us in a lot of ways, we just need to determine them.
Sigh, just a segway. My aunt was charged on a ticket we canceled online, the payment pushed through. I am stressed out, however, I am relieved to see that PAL issues refunds for unused tickets. I instructed my aunt to send an email to PAL because it was her account. I do hope this will be resolved soon. It wasn't a big amount, but money is money.
One thing that also stresses me out is the BCH. I wanna upvote most of you guys here, but I can only do so much because the market is red. I do feel like I owe everyone my support but you know, I am not earning that much and I feel so guilty. Please forgive me, my friends.
I hope everyone is alright and that you got something from my story today. I badly need a mental health break and saying what I feel made things lighter. I think I'm gonna pass on watching Netflix tonight and just chill and not think about the world and my worries.
Please know that I appreciate each of you, from my sponsors to my subscribers, commenters, and upvoters. You are all my friends and I value all of you.
Cheers,
**Glessa**

Aww, I didn't read it until later part of today. Maraming salamat po sir Ed @TengoLoTodo for still believing in me. I appreciate you and the rest of my sponsors!
Pride does not pay the bills!
I remember that news on the TV when a girl, a college graduate, who was working as a merchandising officer got criticized. I love how she gracefully answered her critiques "Pride does not pay the bills!".
I admire her strength and will to provide for her family. The pride doesn't feed hungry stomachs nor provide warmth on chilling bodies.
Millions of people lost their jobs since the pandemic started, there are a few who are lucky enough to have remained employed, got new jobs, opened their businesses, etc. While the rest suffer.
This pandemic is a test of faith and character. It exposed us to our nightmares: on how far we can withstand this crisis.
Where do you belong, my friend? Are you the one who still doesn't wanna find a job because you got your PhD or MA and you don't want to earn less than what you're expecting because of your titles or you would do anything to keep your family and self afloat? Does it hurt when you're wiping tables and chairs or you're not bothered when your child is sick and you don't have a single penny to buy medicine?
Would you rather pass the responsibility of taking care of your kids to your family and relatives than do it yourself?
Does pride pay the bills?
So if you're struggling with how you can earn during the pandemic, THINK!
**What are your skills and talents?**
-Are you multi-lingual, or do you know how to program, teach, write a blog, etc. Do you know how to fix a phone, make a piece of furniture, cook?
What can you do that you could use to earn an income?
**What resources do you have?**
-Do you have wifi or gadget that you can use to find an online job?
**If you can't start a business, why not help someone you know that owns one?**
-Are you good with handling customers either by phone or email. Or you're good with talking to people in general?
**If you can't work full-time, how about part-time? If not, how about gigs?**
-Forget your excuses, as long as you can generate an income it doesn't matter how much you want to work. If you like being idle and lazy, you better not eat.
**Do you have properties you can sell or that can be rented or leased?**
-How about a car? Can you drive and offer your service to other people? Of course, you got to make sure you are following strict health protocols.
**Do you know someone who can help you land a job? Like, refer you?**
-The wider your social network, the better. Now isn't the time to be shy or be arrogant. If you need help, you ask for help. Forget your doctorate or master's degree, they can't be eaten.
You gotta help yourself. Money won't come down from the sky for you. You will be provided as long as you find the means to have it. Don't just stand there, staring at the space, and be hopeless. Even beggars earn, why can't you?
Your due date won't be merciful nor the collection agencies that will bother your sleeping or nap time. Get up your butt, find a job or start working because your pride doesn't and won't pay your bills!
And I hope you like my article for today, my friends. I salute you for doing your best so you could provide for your family. It doesn't matter how small you earn, or what kind of job you have, as long as it's a dignified job. Be proud, many are praying to be in your position right now. And if it's kind of difficult, you got this, my friend. You can do it.
To my sponsors, subscribers, upvoters, and commenters: THANK YOU VERY MUCH FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY PINEAL GLAND.
Keep safe,
Glessa

Keep on going!
These men caught my heart!
Hola, amigo, amiga! How is your day going? We just had one of the coldest days and nights yesterday. It was like someone else left their AC on overnight!
But don't you worry my friends, these men will surely make your day hot if not, hotter lol. They are my long-time crushes, I fancy them a lot that I dreamt of them. Why not? They are so handsome and are good actors too. Do you have the same experience? I know it is impossible for them to notice me so I'm just gonna fantasize about them until I am ready to move on.
Here are the sexiest guys in my eyes that caught my heart:
**Park Shin-Yang**
He was best known as "Carlo" in the Korean drama, "Lovers in Paris". I loved him in his role. He was a strict uncle. I like strict men, those who ooze with confidence and authority turn me on.
**Gerard Butler**
He was "Mike Banning" in the movie"Olympus has Fallen". I like him a lot because he makes me feel secure, like no one could hurt me and he could always come to my rescue. If he could teach me how to use the gun and some combat techniques, I could marry him anytime.
**Channing Tatum**
I fell in love with him in "Jupiter Ascending" as "Caine" a hunter who used to have wings. He looked so badass. I could easily melt in his arms whenever his eyes meet mine. I imagine myself enclosed in his well-toned muscles.
**George Clooney**
I hated him when he married Amal. I thought it would be me! I heard gossip that he was preparing a surprise for me just to find out he'd tie the knot with her. I didn't love him because of Batman, whatsoever.
**Christian Bale**
He was so good in the movie "Equilibrium" that I started to have a crush on him. I hope you watched it. He is such a versatile actor and I hope he will have more movies soon.
**Keanu Reeves**
Aside from being a good person in real life, he is also a good actor. I am sure that he will be a good husband too if he decides to marry me. Lol. I guess Neo's heart already belongs to someone else.
**Derek Ramsay**
"This heartthrob should not be on your list!", I can hear you saying that to me. But why not? He is my crush! I like him, not the way he plays with women's hearts though. I like his face and his body. I just hope he won't regret marrying Ellen when he meets me. Lol. I am not sure though if he is a good actor like the rest. What do you think?
Here they are my friend, my lovers, and my crushes. Sorry, I had to stop because I am already sweating and palpitating.
Kidding aside, do you fantasize about a celebrity? Who is it? Please let me know and let's feel giddy together.
Have a wonderful, warm afternoon my friends!
Love,
Glessa

**How are you, my dear read friends?** This article was written way back on November 13 but didn't publish it and I believe it's time to do so.
It's the weekdays again, I guess most of you have plans of going out or are already out for some tasks. Please observe health protocols.
Oftentimes people think that I don't practice my faith because I don't always say words like, "Thank you, Lord, God, amen, hallelujah, praise God or Jesus" and stuff. I just wanna pray and praise God privately.
I am a spiritual person, not a religious one and there's a difference between being religious and spiritual. But it doesn't mean a spiritual person cannot be religious and vice versa. I am not really showy when it comes to my faith.
And if you'd ask me how often do I pray? I'll say a few times a day.
Praying isn't only asking but giving thanks. And I utter words of gratitude any time of the day. Aside from praying when I wake up, before eating, before going to bed, before going outside, I also pray when I think of my family and friends who need help, when someone's sick, etc.
I don't always say "God bless" when I don't mean it because when I bless someone, I take it by heart that may God bless them a thousandfold. And I am sorry if I don't praise God a lot in my social media posts because I wanna praise Him when I pray when I have a heart-to-heart with Him. And I think we can agree to disagree that we have different ways of proving our faith.
And there were times that I feel so broken and desperate, and alone. Despite the presence of friends and family, I felt that there is something more that I needed to do. Those are the times when I feel so weak, my soul is weary, my heart is heavy. I resort to reading the Bible to remind me that God is always there, willing to listen and comfort me. And all I have to do is surrender and trust that He will lead the way.
So here are my favorite Bible verses:
**“The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord” (Job 1:21).**
-It is a reminder to me that whatever I have asked from God and given to me, He can take it away in an instant. I had to be grateful for the blessings I received and take good care of them especially my body and my health. They say it is the temple of the Spirit so it has to be sound enough for the Spirit to live in it. I may not be going to the church but I do pray and meditate sometimes, I ask forgiveness when needed and humble myself especially when at fault. To be honest, I prefer learning the ways of Buddha because it's what's applicable to me. But I do read the Bible from time to time especially the Old Testament. And I don't feel so bad when God doesn't answer my prayers, I believe it may not be the best for me, or it might be delayed. I only made a request and I would understand if it will be denied. No hurt feelings.
**"Answer me when I call to you, my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; have mercy on me and hear my prayer". (Psalm 4:1)**
-I do have a lot of favorite verses in Psalms and this is one of those. You know sometimes we think that God is not listening when we pray so hard and desperately to Him and we think He's denying us of our desires? We know that not all of our desires are good for us, or it's not the right time to receive them yet. Yet, we are too stubborn and impatient to wait. Or we are into a lot of problems and we want some solutions right away. God won't judge us if we pour our hearts out but let's be patient and trust that God will answer at the right time. He always does. His help is always on time. Proven and tested.
**"In You, Lord my God, I put my trust". (Psalm 25:1)**
-This one's very short but very powerful. It's when I can no longer control the things that are happening to me and I don't know what to do anymore. I will just tell God that He knows what's best and I trust whatever it is to come my way, it is His will and not mine.
**"Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me". (Psalm 27:10)**
-This was very applicable to me when I was serving my church and my parents, especially my mother didn't agree. I knew in my heart that I was happy with what I was doing so I continued my passion. I've come to understand that we may not be always on good terms with people in this world, especially with our loved ones. But if our purpose is pure and true, God will always stand by our side. We might lose friends and family in defending our faith or pursuing our dreams, but we must have faith that God will be there for us every step of the way to guide us in reaching our goals.
And yup, my favorite book is Psalms, next is Job.
I don't read the Bible oftentimes nowadays but I do remember some of its teachings by heart. I tried introducing the Bible to my eldest but she already was influenced by Youtube and she was having a hard time distinguishing the characters of faith from fantasy characters. Sigh, but it's not yet too late for her.
How about you, my friend? What are your favorite Bible quotes and why do they inspire you? Do you also have a favorite story or book in the Bible? I'd be glad to know!
I pray that everyone's safe and sound with their families.

The perks and pains of living near relatives!
**Hola, my dear read friends**. It's so cold that I feel feverish.
I just heard the news from my elder sister when I talked to her last night that I have Covid. This is the latest gossip in Iligan City while I am here in Caloocan.
Wow! I never thought I got the virus, perhaps they took the antigen test on my behalf.
Chismis or gossip spread faster in the province than in the city. It is one of the reasons why I didn't want to back to Iligan specifically Kiwalan. Why? Majority in my purok (a small unit in a barangay) are my relatives.
I don't disagree if people live near their relatives, especially those who grew up on close family ties but it's just so freaking crazy when they talk about other people's lives lol.
If you live near your relatives or your clan:
**You know where to go during emergencies**
This is what I love being near my relatives, I can go to them whenever there are emergencies. Not everyone will help but those who will go all the way. Like when my mama died, my father's family helped us out despite their break-up. They gave us all the financial aid that we needed so we could move on ASAP.
**You can get food and snacks for free**
Yup, when you got to your close relatives, their doors are always open. Some people abuse this kindness. I do see our neighbors living in one of my relatives. I guess they return the favor by doing errands.
**You also become famous**
When you have a celebrity relative, you are famous as well. If your cousin passed an exam or became a top-notcher, you can claim him or her as a cousin or something.
**Lots of friends to play and hang out with**
If you and your cousins grew up together, you don't have to find other friends and playmates than them. Just like what happened to me, I was my cousins' only playmate when we were kids because they weren't allowed to go out. But I got my other cousins as my "barkadas" or peers and we had a lot of fun together.
Intermission number. Ladies and gentlemen: here are my wonderful sponsors who definitely would touch your soul once you read their articles:
And believe me, they are the luckiest people I know, you will be lucky too once you get to know them.
The pains of living near relatives:
**News spread like a virus and inaccurate like the ballot counts**
Just like what happened to me, my gosh. I couldn't move on lol. And I do think they thought I am rich because they saw my posts containing pictures of the in-law's house and cars lol. They just don't know. Pictures could be deceiving.
**Everyone is your relative if you are famous**
When the gossips spread that I would graduate as a cum laude, I became famous. The grandma that didn't like me hugged me in front of the crowd and I met a lot of uncles and aunties lol.
**It is hard to make mistakes**
If you live near your clan, you would be damned if you make mistakes. They will make you feel like you are a saint and you should be perfect. It's like stepping on eggshells. They'd laugh at you and shame you if your mistake ruins your name.
**Expectations are high, competitions are tough**
My cousins and I compete on who will graduate with honors that's why their parents envied me when I had several awards during high school and college. But now they realized that the real competition in life is when one has a stable career that pays well. And I know they are happier now because I don't have that but my cousins do. They are now abroad and are living their lives to the fullest. I am happy for them though. And I know that they are disappointed in me at some point and happy that I am not as rich as them lol. I don't know maybe I am just imagining things.
Family is family, that is what they say. In blood or water, a family stays together no matter what. I say not everyone.
Do you love living near your relatives my friends, why and why not? Share your thoughts below and let's chat about it!
And I hope that everyone is taking care of themselves. It's so difficult to get sick these days. Make yourself warm, drink hot chocolate.
Love,
Glessa

My all-time favorite singers!
**Hello, my dear read friends**. I am here, yeah, been so busy with all the health issues and stuff. I hope you are doing great this weekend.
Be kind to yourself, why don't you just relax and watch your favorite series or treat yourself to a delicious dish? We all deserve a break, yeah? But there is none for the wicked. Mothers like me don't rest and as they say, "Mothers have no right to rest or get tired". Awful. Lol.
Anyways, I was helping my aunt last night to get airplane tickets and I was really shocked seeing how a plane ticket that costs 4000 pesos goes as high as 10,000 in a matter of an hour. And I am glad that I was able to find a way how they can fly together without paying too much. My aunt was willing to pay 16,000 and more than that just for them to fly.
I know plane seats are expensive because of the limited flights offered by the airlines due to the level 3 implementation in most places in the country. And I pray that we will get out of this nightmare soon.
And I don't wanna think about all the problems in the world. Let's just live at this moment. Do one step at a time. Breath in, breath out.
So I am going to talk about my all-time favorite singers instead. This topic relaxes and calms me down. Here are my favorite singers in no particular order:
**Beyonce**
This bootylicious singer, despite the controversies, has one of the most powerful voices in the world, for me. Just forget the names of her daughters. Not an issue for me. I just like how she sings, especially "Halo", and how she dances. She is my soul twin, you know. I am always with her in spirit whenever she grooves.
**Celine Dion**
I love her soulful voice. I feel like I am Rose whenever she sings "My Heart Will Go On". And do you know that she didn't wanna do it? She was just forced by her late husband, Rene to do it. I also love her love story. I know it was a May-December affair, and they thought that her husband took advantage of her. But it wasn't what I saw from how he treated her. He was his queen. He took care of her like she was a fragile diamond. I am not sure though if there is some stuff about them that will taint my impression.
**Bruno Mars**
I like his voice and his songs. My favorites are "24 Karat" and "Versace on the Floor". He has Filipino blood and I am happy that he is successful in the music industry in the USA.
**Ed Sheeran**
Who can't relate to this guy's songs? They are just perfect. I love this humble guy. The last time I knew, he doesn't have any phones and he keeps his feet on the ground. He didn't want fame and fortune to overpower him. I feel that he is a good man.
**Andrea Bocelli**
Although El Divo's voices sound better than him, I love his songs like "Vivo per Lei" and "It's Time to Say Goodbye". I do try hard to pronounce the Italian lyrics of "Vivo per Lei", it just gives me euphoria whenever I sing it. Andrea for me is a humble guy. I like that.
**Taylor Swift**
What, am I a Swiftie? I am not a die-hard fan but I like her humble beginnings. Her country music was a hit. Her songs were relatable and so easy to follow. She may have been linked to a lot of controversies as well but it didn't make her a bad singer. Way to go, Taylor. My favorite song of her is "Crazier".
**Katy Perry**
This woman made me laugh so hard when I watched her in Masterchef Australia. Despite her weird costumes, she got this powerful voice as well. Her songs are also the songs of this millennium. I always like "Fireworks" and "Thinking of You".
**Lady Gaga**
She makes me remember all the good times that I had with my friends. Whenever we go to a gay bar, Lady Gaga's hits were played most of the time. I loved it when they impersonate her. And I do love her personality. She made me gaga over her.
And I apologize, I don't have a favorite Filipino singer but I do like Sarah G, Morisette Amon, and Kz Tandingan.
Who is your favorite singer my friend, and why? Let us catch up! Leave your comments below.
To my sponsors, subscribers, commenters, upvoters: SUPER THANK YOU! And I hope you will enjoy the weekend.
Cheers,
**Glessa**

Pain is inevitable if we want positive change!
**Hello dear, read friends.** I hope you are all doing great. It's my "me" time again. Baby wanted me to carry her most of the time and I salute my body for enduring physical pains every day. Power to us mommies!
Just for a minute, can I just have an intermission number?
"My sponsors are the best, the best there ever was, my sponsors are the best and I love them just because. They make me feel important, they make me feel great. They're the greatest sponsors my eyes have ever seen"...Yup, you can sing this using Cocomelon's "My Mommy or Daddy Is the Best"...I hope you are familiar with the song.
Tonight or today's post is just gonna be some ramblings in my life about pain.
For instance, I already stated we all have been sick and even we are still coughing especially the kids. I pointed out to my partner that his dad should remove the Xmas decorations he put up last year because it stores dust. So most of them have been removed to my dad-in-law's disappointment. Gosh, the children are coughing already and he smokes cigarettes so we also have second-hand smoke getting inside the house. My in-laws had an argument.
It's a pain to the dad-in-law to make some changes in the house but he never realizes that his grandchildren's health is suffering. Is he a pain in the ass? I don't wanna think about this lol.
When I was pregnant in 2019, I wanted to earn extra after losing my job so I decided to join a group that pools their money to earn interest in Bitcoin. After sending the money, the coordinator confirmed she received it but when I made a little error about an extra requirement, she asked me to send another 1300. I was shocked. She even tried to convince me I would get more than what I paid for. Then I found out she scammed several people. Damn, I was scammed.
And I remember buying some pre-sale tokens still in 2019. The Setocoin token was under the Etherium network if I wasn't mistaken. I bought $10 worth of tokens because it was predicted to go up and my $10 could possibly become $420 in a few months' time. I was disappointed when I checked my phone because the token wasn't listed anymore and the value was questionable.
It was painful to hope for something, to dream that you will get the value from your investment just to find out the project failed. The positive change was, I became wiser in investing especially in cryptocurrencies.
With the pain, is a dream. Yup, I dream of earning more here in read as my sponsors do. It will be a lot of work, I know and I will achieve that, I am claiming it!
Hmm, guys, I gotta go. I am not 100% okay yet but I got to push myself to be here because I have a project for the kids' health. But really, I am tired.
Sorry for my ramblings. This mad Filipina mother is thankful for you and for your time in reading this write-up today. May you be blessed in your endeavours.
We shall talk soon,
Glessa

Acrobatics and techniques I learned from motherhood!
**Hello, my dear read friends**. I have been MIA here due to our sickness at home. Thankfully, everyone's on the road to recovery though Saoirse still got some fever, she is gradually having an appetite.
I have never missed a community such as read. I do feel like I belong here. It made me curious as to what new stories and experiences I have missed. Sadly, there were a lot.
And I don't wanna miss thanking my dear friend Eliana for her sponsorship renewal. I appreciate it dear @CoquiCoin
Friends, since I became a mom to my second child, I have never realized the potential of using my body. Yup, I discovered that I have motherhood acrobatic skills and also, I learned techniques for getting things done.
Today, Saoirse wanted me to open the ref. She was looking for something because she was hungry. She saw the spaghetti sauce and she thought that it was a champurrado so she cried. I got to give in to her request because she needs to eat. She hasn't eaten for the past 24 hours since she got sick.
So I prepared the champurrado ingredients and placed it on the stove while my partner is carrying Saoirse. And since he was also doing a chore, I had to take care of the food.
The champurrado is already boiling! It shouldn't dry out or else Saoirse will not eat it. I didn't want to disturb my partner so what I did is stretch my right leg and place it against the wall so my right arm can slowly open the cauldron's cover and then I got the spoon and carefully stir the champurrado. Just a caution: please think thoroughly if you wanna do this. Check if your cauldron is well balanced because it might tip over hurting you and the baby.
And when I needed to throw a tissue or a paper towel while holding my baby, I pick the thing up using my toes, put it on my slipper, wear my slipper, and then I open the trash bin with my foot and throw the tissue. Disclaimer: Do this as long as the tissue is not so wet or super dirty.
If my partner is not around and no one can help me with Saoirse and I gotta pee, I open the toilet bowl cover with my foot, remove my stuff using my other hand and sit while Saoirse is on my lap. I always make sure she doesn't hold anything. And when I am done, I flush with my foot too. Good luck to the next user. I am sorry guys, this is for emergencies only. And then I wash my hands alternatively and my feet. Then I wash Saoirse's hands.
While putting Saoirse to sleep and I want to watch Netflix or be in read, I use my toes to plug in the laptop. I use my other foot to steady the extension wire. I am oftentimes successful but when I am doubtful, I squat and use my free hand to plug the device. This one is extremely dangerous as well. Please don't do this unless you know you can do it. But safety first. No horseplay!
And if I wanna comment on an article, I use my right hand while the left arm is holding the baby. If there is a will, there's a way!
If I am thirsty while holding a baby, I put my leg on the monoblock so it can balance my body and then I grab the glass and drink.
Since Saoirse is too heavy for me to carry for a lullaby, I place my left leg on the desk's available space to elevate it while sitting on the monobloc and rock her to sleep. While I am watching or reading. Nice one, right?
If the baby's well, I could spend more time taking a bath, if not, then I take a quick shower. Like go in the bathroom, open the shower, shampoo, and soap, rinse. Put my clothes on. Done in less than 5 minutes. Combing? Nah. Lotion? Nope.
**Sigh, the joys, and pains of motherhood. Who knew moms could do such things? Amazing right? So please thank your mom and ask her about the acrobatics she has done while taking care of you and share it with us!**
And I apologize if I could not still be here for long, Saoirse isn't 100% well yet.
To my 8 strong sponsors (Sis @Bloghound where na you? Come back to us okay?) and 2 new sponsors: my strength lies in you. Thank you so much po!
To my 119 subscribers: you are my guiding light. You inspire me to do better and outdo myself. Thank you!
Let's hook up in the next few days as the baby cries from time to time.
Take care,
Glessa

Modern-day parents, do you teach your kids household chores?
Believe me, when we became parents, we wanted to give the world to our child or children. I am right, right? But during our childhood, we hated to sweep the floor, or wipe the furniture, etc. And we came up with a lot of excuses just to avoid the household chores. I, for, one, am guilty and I regretted not learning them during my younger years but I did learn household chores later part of my life.
Ladies, and gents, we should prepare our children for the world, not the world for our children. If you don't agree with me. It's fine, but who will be there when you or your partner face an untimely death? Will your child survive? Perhaps they will but the adjustments might be difficult for them. Why not teach them while they are young? It doesn't hurt, does it?
I didn't mean teaching your child how to cook at age 1. Anyways, have you watched on Youtube that video where the mother has cancer? She taught her child how to cook their family recipe every day since the baby started walking. She only had 4 years to live, until the day she passed away. At the age of 4 or 5, the child already knows how to cook. This doesn't have to happen to us.
Let us teach our kids household chores that are age-appropriate.
But before I continue the discussion, here are the most awesome people I have met here on read. They believed in me and gave me the confidence to pursue entertaining my audience. Please give their profiles a minute of your time and you'll be amazed by their stories.
Where are we? Oh yeah, in the household chores you can teach your kids.
Here they are:
**Fixing the bed**
This can be done after praying in the morning. When I taught Bam about this, she asked "Why do I have to fix my bed? I am going back to sleep in the evening anyways". I answered, "Fixing the bed is training for you to become orderly, arrange disorganized things inside the house and your life". The explanation may have been deep but she understood. Now her bed is organized most of the time.
**Cleaning up after playing**
This is super easy and even toddlers could do it. Encourage your kids to clean their mess after playing. This will teach them to be responsible by looking after themselves. I personally don't like it when I clean someone else's dirt so I taught my eldest to clean up. She should be okay when she grows up.
**Putting plates and utensils on the table**
Just make sure they are big enough to carry the plates, otherwise the utensils alone. Supervise your kids though to avoid accidents. Kids love to be helpful. Praise them when they are done.
**Sweeping the floor**
The floor doesn't have to be clean when they sweep. Let them experience and teach them how to do it properly. They'd be a pro in no time. Remember to not criticize them, they might lose confidence next time they do it.
**Cooking rice**
In the province, kids are trained to cook rice as early as 7 or 8 using firewood. Scary, right? I learned when I was 9. My rice was burnt and uncooked. I cried first before my sisters figured it out so my papa will defend me. It worked.
We now have rice cookers making it easier to do the chore. Remind your kid though to be careful when plugging the rice cooker.
I just wish I could add more but I am still sick. I don't really wanna miss publishing but health comes first. I will catch up when everything's back to normal in the house
And it made me realize that I should initiate some changes here so we could all be healthier and ready when sickness comes.
Thank you, my friends, for reading this article. I appreciate every second of your time.
Take care,
Glessa

Hello ladies and gents, thought I could finish my article tonight but looks like Saoirse and I got the bug.
I am gonna pass for today.
Please take care of yourselves and your kids!
Octavia and Lincoln- The origin of Freekru (How their love story should have ended!)
I don't know how long we've been fighting. I hope I just stayed in the ark. Going under the floor when someone's inside the cabin felt a lot safer than surviving the bows and guns these people are throwing at everyone.
I'm gonna go out for a walk...This place that we've landed, the Earth, with the 100 of us seemed nice. Oh, wait...Someone's following me...Oh no, my feet got caught by a root, here I am rolling down the hill, my body's hitting almost everything it passes through. I'm in pain!
Suddenly everything went black.
I am not sure for how long I passed out. Argghhh my head and my body ached a lot! I felt like I have been dropped on Earth without any life support at all.
"Where am I? Who are you?", I see this man whose face is as fierce as an eagle. He body is tall and dark with muscles chiseled by the gods. I can't fight him because I don't know how to. I could die here. But wait, I can see that he put a bandage on my head and my body.
I am not hearing any response from him. "Why are you helping me?", I talked to him again.
"There's no time, your people need to live. I will help you go back to your friends but tell them my people are gonna go after them. No one will be spared". He told me. I laughed. But he never laughed back. We are so dead.
So we went back to the dropship, a few miles from where he kept me captive and healed me. I gotta go see my brother Bellamy and warn him. But when we reached the gate, everyone's aiming a weapon against this guy.
"Why did you bring a grounder here? He's gonna kill us all!", Bellamy, my brother, angrily said to me.
"No! He helped me, see my bandages? If we won't get out of here, we will be dead by sunrise!", I desperately told everyone.
"We won't go anywhere, this is our home and we're gonna die fighting for it!", Bellamy answered. Everyone agreed.
"You have to escape", he told me.
"What's your name?", I asked.
"Lincoln", he answered.
"Well, Lincoln, looks like we're gonna die anytime soon!", I sadly replied.
But we didn't. We survived. Raven figured out how to kill the grounders by enabling the thrusters of the drop ship without us flying. Everyone was fried. Yup, 300 grounders dead.
Lincoln tried to stop the war by fighting on our side and because of that, he was banished from his tribe, Trikru.
Our first meeting was succeeded by another meet-up, then another one. We secretly see each other when everyone's busy with their tasks. I pretended to go into the woods and spend some time with him. He taught me their ways, their secrets, their beliefs, their language. And slowly, I fell in love with him.
I started to understand peace, that we could live together in harmony as long as we respect our laws and understand our differences.
Things changed when the rest of the Ark went to the Earth. We are now being led by Chancellor Pike, who doesn't trust the grounders. Everyone in the ark agreed that no grounder should be allowed and if someone breaks the rules, they will be locked away. Just like what's happening now with the former chancellor Kane and doctor Abby.
One day...
"Open the gate!", one of the soldiers shouted. Then we saw 6 grounders tied and wounded.
"They tried to fight!", the same soldier said.
"Lock them up and we'll see what we can do with them!", Chancellor Pike told the soldier.
Lincoln learned that the chancellor is planning to expand our territory by grabbing the grounders' lands. I felt rage towards the chancellor and my brother Bellamy who supported him. Since there was a change in leadership, we've been turning against each other, my brother and I were not an exemption. I don't know whom to trust anymore, except Lincoln.
"Today, we are going to execute our prisoners! There is no room for them in our lands. Whoever goes in my way will have the same fate". The chancellor announced.
We planned our escape. I secretly went to the prison cell releasing the doctor, Marcus Kane, and everyone who was on our side. I don't know how many lives I already took. When will this be over? Panting, I ran with the rest, nothing but weapons in our hands. But someone's missing.
"Octavia! We got Lincoln!", Bellamy shouted from the front of the gate.
"You all should surrender, there is no escape. Follow us and you will be spared!", continued Bellamy.
"No! He will answer all the lives lost in the war against the Sky people. He will carry the burden his fellow grounders did." Chancellor Pike, coming out from nowhere.
I have never been so afraid in my life. Lincoln is my home, my everything. He made me feel alive and free from everything. I am not a Sky people, nor a Trikru/Tree people. I am just me and Lincoln, him. And that's what makes us different from the rest of them.
"How am I gonna save him?", I asked myself. There has to be another way. I can't live without him.
"Octavia, there's no time, we should run while they don't see us!", Marcus Kane pulled me away from the execution ground.
Chancellor Pike said, "Today, your fight is over" while pointing the gun at Lincoln's head.
And I see him. He has surrendered and accepted his fate. His death. My tears keep on falling. I won't give in. I'd rather die.
I hid from a tree somewhere near Lincoln. I know how to hide, that's what I've been doing in the ark all my life. I see guards everywhere with their guns ready to aim at anyone. I spit on the ground when I think of them being a coward, their guns give them the guts to appear strong. But they are all weak to me.
"Not today, Lincoln. Not today!", then I throw my dagger aiming towards Chancellor Pike's heart. The gun was triggered but not at Lincoln, but at the sky. Yeah, that's where the bullets belong.
There was chaos. The chancellor drops to the ground. I pray he's dead.
It was the chance for Lincoln to escape. He knows where to go. I saw him running while everyone's attention is on the chancellor.
And I ran as well.
"I know I'd find you here! Why did you do it? You could have been killed, Octavia!" Lincoln, angrily said to me.
"You're welcome!". I said. Then we kissed. Hungrily. It never felt so good hugging him and being with him. His warm embrace. His breathing against my face. His touch against my skin. How could I live without him? I'd die.
His fiery eyes met mine. Our lips locked. Our minds focused on this sweet moment. I don't want this to end.
"You are a warrior, Octavia. You look so beautiful, so perfect. But underneath that innocence and beauty is a heart of a warrior. Your hair is as black as the night, your eyes, as blue as the sea. Your spirit, as fierce as an eagle", Lincoln whispered while we're laying on the ground.
"Let's leave this place and everyone. Start a new life. Together.", I asked Lincoln.
"That's gonna be tough but not impossible. Let's go to Luna and ask for a safe passage. She takes everyone who doesn't wanna fight anymore", Lincoln said.
We then started our journey before the break of dawn. I don't have a lot of stuff just the sword and daggers Lincoln gave me. We walked a hundred miles, facing danger together. We don't want to kill anyone, anymore. We walk when it's dark, slowly, like a deer on thin ice. Our eyes and ears sharp and ready for what's coming for us.
It wasn't easy finding Luna but we did it anyway, the journey seemed forever but we were triumphant.
We now live by the sea. Lincoln used his skills in catching fish, studying the use of sea plants as medicine, and teaching men how to use the spear. That's it.
And I? I help him and Luna by teaching the girls and women about what I learned from the ark. I taught them how to read.
"Shhhh shhh, hush baby. Father will come home soon", I whispered to my baby Olivia while brushing her cheeks.
"She is as strong as you", Lincoln kissed my forehead.
"And a beauty like you", while I lay my head on his chest.
Finally, peace and home, and freedom. We are the Freekru. (Free people)
This is how I wanted my favorite couple in the series "The 100" should have ended my friends. And I am sorry if it's quite long. Let me know if you like it or not. I wish to stay online longer but I need to go to sleep because I think I am coming down with something.
To everyone, especially my sponsors and subscribers: THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!
Much love,
**Glessa**

The story is inspired by the series "The 100" using the original names of the
characters of the story. Some changes have been made to attain the desired outcome of the story.
This is for January 10, 2021
"The 100" and some of the main characters behind it!
Hola, my dear friends! I am currently babysitting while writing this article. Sigh, my toddler has already discovered the art of defiance lol. She always runs away whenever it's time to wear her clothes and diaper after bathing. She also doesn't wanna be cleaned after pooping. But she does make us laugh most of the time. And now, she hasn't taken her nap yet.
Most of us have been watching different shows, series, and movies online especially through Netflix. Have you watched "The 100"? I am still watching it and I wanna finish it because it gets better and better every time. Though there are episodes that bore me, I am curious as to how it's gonna end.
I had to stop typing because I had to put the baby to sleep. Now, let's continue.
The 100 is a Netflix series about how mankind saved its race and survived. Just a brief background:
The Earth was eradicated 100 years ago through nuclear power. There were 12 stations orbiting the Earth from different countries of the world. The 13th station was called Polaris but it didn't join the other stations, it was put down instead because the AI or artificial intelligence created by a scientist called Becca was believed to endanger them. The 12 stations merged and were called Ark. They thought they'll have a sufficient supply of oxygen for another century but there was a system failure. The council or group of intelligent people decided to send 100 kids with criminal records to Earth to see if it's survivable. While the kids try to figure out their new lives on Earth, they had to kill 300 people so they could have enough oxygen for the remaining survivors in the ark.
Here are the main characters of the series that made it exciting:
**Clarke Griffin**
The daughter of an engineer and a doctor. She was one of the privileged few in the ark so everyone calls her a "Princess". They thought that she was soft just to find out she is also a fighter. She helped her friends survive by acting as a leader and a doctor of the group. She was later called "Wanheda" or Commander of Death by the tribal people called "Grounders".
**Bellamy Blake**
He had to shoot Chancellor Jaha, the leader of the council of the ark so he could be with his sister, Octavia who was sent to Earth. He started taking care of his sister when he was 8 and he would do anything to protect her. He became the first leader of the 100, almost killed his friend John Murphy and joined another group that tainted his relationship with his sister.
**Octavia Blake**
She was not supposed to be born because the ark's rule was to only have a child. She grew up hiding on the ark's floor. She is Bellamy's sister. Their mother got "floated" or sent to the space to die because the ark found out her existence. She met a Trikru warrior named Lincoln, fell in love and she became a warrior. She's not all beauty, she can fight. That's why she is my favorite character.
**Lincoln the Trikru**
Trikru means tree people. He is a grounder. When he was a child, he saved a person who fell down from the sky just to be ordered to kill it by his father. When he saw Octavia wounded, he saved her. It started their romantic relationship. He made her strong and taught them their ways. But he died because of the new leader of the council of the ark. His death break Octavia's soul. They are my favorite couple.
**Raven Reyes**
She is also one of my favorites. She is a mechanic, one of the youngest and most intelligent in the group. She had a boyfriend named Finn who fell in love with Clarke. She went to Earth to see if Clarke is still alive, created a bomb that kill 300 grounders, and destroyed a bridge that survived the nuclear war. She was also the most wanted person by the AI called Alie because of her brain. She loves coding that's why I like her a lot.
There are other characters like Abby Griffin, Clarke's mom that served as an important person in the series. She saved a lot of people, enemy or not and she also became a chancellor. Marcus Kane, who also became a chancellor, sought peace so they could live with the grounders, share their resources and survive on Earth. Thelonious Jaha, who also became chancellor, led their people to become a follower of AI Alie that downloaded their consciousness in a place called "City of Light".
I am not yet done, just like what I have mentioned earlier and I will tell you how it ended and my key takeaways from the movie.
Sigh, my Bam got the bug. She got a high fever now. She slept in our room so knock on the wood, it will either be or Saoirse next. I pray not.
My friend, what series are you currently watching on Netflix or other streaming channels? Can you tell me about it? I'd love to hear from you!
And before I end this article, let me say THANK YOU to my sponsors who first believed in my capacity to write and entertain you guys. To my subscribers, I am honored to be on your subscription, THANK YOU as well. To everyone supporting me, I am humbled.
Please take care,
Glessa

P.S. I am inspired to make a love story based on the series featuring Octavia and Lincoln...Watch out :)
My most favorite romantic or love songs!
**Hello, my dear read friends!** I thought we are an exemption to the rule but the flu got us. It started with my dad-in-law, now, my partner, my brother-in-law, and my niece. This too, shall pass, though.
This write-up is not actually about flu and sickness but about songs, specifically, romantic songs. I love music and I like romantic songs. Do you? I hope you do!
Romantic songs remind us of our loved ones, our promise to be together, our great memories, our heartaches, and our pains. It's nice to love and be loved, agree or agree?
There are timeless classics that I love, some current ones, and some that belong to my generation. Music does keep our spirit alive, makes our hearts beat faster.
Prepare the list of your most favorite romantic songs because here are mine:
**Unchained Melody by Andy Williams**
I didn't like this before but when I intensively listened to the music, it really is beautiful. I remember my uncle signings this in a videoke during my childhood days, I thought it was boring but when I fell in love, I appreciated this piece. It goes to the bones.
You can listen to one of its latest revivals here by the Righteous Brothers:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQI5lGQ7G4c
**Moon River by Andy Williams**
I just like how Andy Williams sang this one. His voice was very soulful. He could put me into a peaceful sleep. I think it talks about two lovers who were going in two different directions in life to fulfill each other's dreams and the other lover is willing to wait.
**The Gift by Jim Brickman**
There are different ways to express an emotion or feeling to a romantic partner, but above all else, the most special gift one can give is his or her heart. No matter what you do, if your actions don't have love, they're nothing.
**This I Promise You by NSync**
Who doesn't love NSync? I do love them, especially their song, "This I Promise You". It is a spot one for someone who is about to declare his love. I also love their Spanish version of the song. Latin Music for me is one of the most romantic in the world.
Check the English song here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6thmPrTxBtI
**I Love You**
Yes, the one by Celine Dion. How does your heart beat when you are in love? How does your lover's touch feel? It's like the time does not end when you're with him or her, right? You just wanna be together, to laugh, to go somewhere special. Everything stops when you are with the one you love.
**"Runaway" by The Corrs**
When you're in love, nothing matters but only the two of you. And if something is against that relationship, it feels like you are strong and willing to face anything just to fight for your love. If it's too much, you are willing to run away with that someone. As long as you're together, nothing else matters.
**"Til They Take My Heart Away" by Clair Marlo**
I don't know but this one's my favorite. It might be because I used to be so crazy in love that I didn't believe what the other people said about him. For me, he was perfect the way he was and I thought that I could love him forever- that my feelings won't change until they take my heart away.
I am feeling different kinds of emotions right now while typing this, maybe because I have recalled my past relationships because of the songs. I never regretted most of them, and I am thankful for the wonderful memories and experiences because they are a special part of me. They made me a better person and a partner.
What are your favorite romantic or love songs, my friend? And why did they become your favorite?
And they, I am very sorry if I couldn't catch up with all the notifications. We currently have sick people in the house. I will try when everyone's better and I wish we won't have our turn.
To my sponsors, subscribers, upvoters, commenters: THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Please take care,
**Glessa**

Thankfulness and gratefulness...Ways to be less toxic!
How are you, my dear read friends? It is now the 6th of January and I am gonna share with you some tips on how to be thankful.
I saw some posts about being grateful and thankful hence the inspiration of today's topic.
We are all toxic people at some point, yes or yes? The question now lies on how toxic we are and what we do about it. Are you the kind of person who complains rather than compliments? Do you appreciate peoples' effort or do you ask for more?
I have been a toxic person, my ex-bf said so. He said I always complain about everything. Maybe he was right. The issue is I wasn't able to determine the proper channel to vent and he was the one available. But you know, those who cared about you, the right people will listen until they tell you, you have an attitude problem. I learned from his statement and I tried to control my angst, anger, frustrations, and focus them on somewhere else like I write in my journal, going out for a "me" time, meditating, and jog.
One way to be less toxic is to learn how to appreciate. A habit can be stopped or formed in 21 days, that's how the brain is programmed. So since it's New Year, start being grateful or thankful, and here are 6 ways on how to do it (6 since it is the 6th of Jan). My ex-colleague gave me the cards named: Dare to be grateful by Viviamo! All the credits to them:
**Do you dwell too much on the past?**
-Living on the past won't change your present and it will negatively affect your future. You see, you are the captain of your life. You have been given the choice to either live happily or live in regrets, grudge, or peace of mind. What would you choose?
Here's what you can do:
Enuremate the reasons why living well in the present and focusing on yourself are for the best (Viviamo!).
**"Happiness can exist only in acceptance" by George Orwell**
-If you don't accept that you are not perfect, that you commit mistakes, you will never be happy. Happiness is not living with perfection but living with imperfections and being okay with it.
Here's what you can do:
Face your fears little by little. It's scary, yes, but do it scared anyway! (Viviamo!)
**How often do you expect and how often do you appreciate?**
-I used to expect a lot before, it only lead me to heartbreaks and frustrations. I expected people to do the same things I do to them. It won't work. It made me a toxic person because I became blind, I didn't appreciate whatever it is that was in front of me because I was always looking for something more, something I can only give to myself. It wasn't unfair to the other person.
Here's what you can do:
Write down all the times in your life when you are more expectant and less appreciative. If you have too many expectations from the people in your life, then it's time to return some favors. Start with a simple thank-you text. It's enough to brighten someone's day. (Viviamo!)
**In order to carry a positive action, we must develop here a positive vision by Dalai Lama**
-One of my goals in life is to leave a legacy to my family by helping my nephews and nieces to finish schooling. I also try my best to become a positive influence on them. I am open for them to talk about their emotions, dreams, aspirations.
Here's what you can do:
Help your family members create a family handbook. Work with each other to bring out the best in one another! (Viviamo!)
**Do you thrive on drama?**
-I used to, but I learned the mistake from my ancestors. I was lucky enough to be "awakened" at such an early age and I did break the cycle. When I went here to Manila I became more open-minded about everything. Would you believe that my family's issues were still the same after 10 years? I kept on hearing them over and over again, I told them to get it over with and move on.
Here's what you can do:
Love, conflict, and drama make the world go round. But if you're constantly looking for these negative energies to engage in, you'll eventually burn out. Go on a digital detox and seek solace in solitude. (Viviamo!)
**"Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our soul blossom" by Marcel Proust**
-I do appreciate my friends, especially those who have been with me through the worst times of my life. I either send them messages via Facebook and have a little chat with them or email them. During special occasions, I reach out and just tell them how thankful I am for everything they've done for me.
Here's what you can do:
Go old school: call up friends on their landline numbers. Tell them how much they mean to you. Reminisce about the good old days without emojis and apps. (Viviamo!)
There you go, my friends. I hope this helps! If we want to change our future, let us change our attitude, our perception of everyone and everything around us.
What are you thankful for? How do you show your appreciation towards someone? Do share and let's chat!
I want to say "THANK YOU" very much to my ever-supportive sponsors and my 116 strong subscribers. You are all amazing. I also want to say that I appreciate the comments and upvotes that you've done, been doing, and will do.
With much gratitude,

Hello my dear friends, as much as I want to upvote all of your articles please forgive me because my BCH is not that much yet. And I hope you understand.
Since I have several inactive sponsees, I think they like being in noise than in read, I will not be renewing some of them and I will make way for new sponsees.
Cheers!
Happy New Year!
Do you "glow" in the dark?
Hello, my dear read friends. Time flies so fast, doesn't it? We just celebrated New Year but here we are, on the 5th of Jan 2022.
I bought my Bam a local version of the Beyblade Burst stadium and since she got something, I also shopped for Saoirse. Since she is fascinated by the stars lately, I bought her glow in the dark star wall stickers. Does your kid like glow-in-the-dark stickers too? Since there were 50 stars in blue, pink, and green, I shared 20 of them with Bam. She was happy because the stars were beautiful to look at in the dark.
Whenever there is "darkness" or you are in the "dark", my friend, do you glow? Or dim? I am asking you this question because we are in trying and "dark" times, we need to be each other's light.
As a wife, when you found out your husband cheated on you- would you let him stay in the dark or do you "glow" and help him find his way? Will forgiveness shine in your heart or do you seek vengeance? Forgiveness is different from abuse. When you forgive, you do it for your peace of mind. When you let them abuse you, you allow them to do their mistakes over and over again.
As a friend, are you a wingman? If you are encouraged to work dishonestly by a friend just to get a promotion, are you gonna "glow" in the dark or would you follow the suggestion? Do you still believe that honesty is the best policy?
As an employee or worker, do you always follow your company's rules and regulations and do what's right or go with the wrongness of the crowd? You join them because you cannot beat them? Are you gonna "glow" or flicker in the dark or would you let them turn your light off? Do you still believe in punctuality and doing your best every day or what?
As a parent, when your child makes a mistake, are you gonna spare the rod or impose discipline or tolerate his or her inappropriate behavior? Or are you gonna glow in the dark and correct him or her? Would you like to have a disciplined child in the future or are you just gonna let your child figure out his fate when he grows up?
My friends, let us choose wisely on whether we want to "glow" in the dark so we could light other people's path or diminish in the darkness. There is so much we can do in this world, no matter how small it is. Be the light. Glow in the dark.
By the way, a lot of people are sick right now due to the weather. Please take care of yourselves, always observe minimum health protocols. We might not have the virus, but getting the flu makes us vulnerable.
Have a great day, everyone!

Eradicate, if not, alleviate your allergy!
**How are you, my dear read friends?** Today is still very cold and I have just seen in the news that people are panicking to buy paracetamol and other cold and flu-related medicines. And some pharmacies are running out of supply temporarily.
I have allergies and I have suffered from my childhood until I became an adult. I hate the weather changes, the dust, the smog, the fog, the pollen. I didn't enjoy camping or outdoor stuff because I always sneeze and my head ached. I also get hay fever from time to time. I already tried a lot of vitamins and supplements to no avail.
Luckily, my mother-in-law introduced a special kind of vegetable smoothie or shake to me. She heard about it from the radio show of a doctor, she has been doing it for my partner and her dad because they have heart issues. She wanted them healthy. One day tried it until I was drinking it regularly and I could attest that it actually works! Not only does it alleviate my allergies, but it also made me strong when I am so sick like I don't lie on the bed whenever I have a fever.
**The vegetables that she put in the shake are:**
Moringa or Malunggay leaves
Saluyot leaves or Egyptian spinach leaves
Chili leaves
Water spinach leaves
Camote or sweet potato tops
There is no exact amount on how much it is to put in the blender, as long as they are thick enough to your liking. Put some fruit like banana, apple, or avocado to make it taste better.
All you got to do is:
Wash the leaves. Note: we usually wash the leaves using water with salt to remove unwanted bacteria.
Then put some water in the blender with the leaves. You got to remove them from their stem of course. You can do it either by cluster or one by one if you have the time lol.
Put the blender on, check if you like the consistency of the shake, and add the fruit. Taste it. Make the necessary adjustment according to your liking.
Serve fresh. Do not freeze it because you will destroy the enzymes. The shake can last for only 24 hours, if it tastes funny or has bubbles, discard it already.
Trust me, you will feel a lot better a few days after drinking the shake. Not only it will help you with your allergies, but you will also go to the toilet from time to time because of the fiber of the leaves. If you want to add more fruit, it is up to you as well. I just hope you will be patient enough to do the shake because it is kind of tedious. But it is worth it.
Let us take care of ourselves, especially during this time because people will think you have Covid even if you really don't. Discrimination is such a pain.
And I hope you have learned something today, my friend. We have just celebrated New Year. Today is the 3rd page of the 365 pages of 2022. Let us invest in good health.
Do you drink smoothies or anything that gives you good health? Can you share what it is? I'd be glad to know so we could share our experiences.
To my sponsors, subscribers, commenters, and upvoters: THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR STAYING WITH ME.
Love,
Glessa
P.S. Just a pic of my Bam when we went to High Street in BGC. She also has allergies and I plan to let her drink the vegetable shake when she turns 8. I don't want her to suffer as I did.

Activities that I'd love to do if I am still single!
**How are you, my read friends?** The weather is kind of making me lazy today but I gotta push. I want to overcome procrastination and make a little difference for the New Year.
Before I go on, thank you sir @ARTicLEE for renewing your sponsorship. And to all my sponsors, I am happy that you are still supporting me. I wish you will gain more subscribers and have more BCH.
Know what, I did sometimes wish I am single. Motherhood isn't easy because I had to give up what I love doing and pause my dreams for my kids. I am only human and I know you'd understand. I dream too, just like you. And if I am still single and childless, I'd love to do the following activities:
**Volunteer as a tree planter**
I really want to help this world and because I love gardening, I would love to be a volunteer for tree planting activities so my kids will have cleaner, fresher air to breathe. Having more trees will prevent flooding and global warming as well.
**Volunteer as an ocean cleaner**
I don't have any experience in freediving but I am willing to go through training just to help clean the ocean. We don't deserve this world if we don't know how to take care of our ocean life.
**Backpack and travel locally and internationally**
I dream of going around my country and want to travel light. I believe there are still a lot of places to explore and discover. I only want to actually swim and witness sunrises and sunsets. I want to go to Asia such as Cambodia and Laos.
**Club hopping and food tripping**
I love dancing. I want to go around good dance clubs and see what they got. I would like to also taste foods from different regions and countries. I want to write each experience in my journal so I can read them and reminisce when I can't travel anymore.
**Paraglide, skydive, and wear a wingsuit**
They are my ultimate dreams. I won't definitely be scared to dive from the sky or high places if I don't have any kids to worry about if something happens to me lol. I want to feel the euphoria of sky diving.
I wanna do more you know, life is too short to not do things that will make me feel more alive. If only I am still single. Who knows I can't do them? Hmm definitely I can but priorities come first, true or true?
Do you have dreams that you wish to do if you're still single? What are they, my friend? And are you feeling lazy like me?
And I will not stop thanking everyone, my sponsors and subscribers, upvoters, and commenters for your generous support.
**Wishing you full of love and blessing for 2022!**
**Glessa**
P.S. Yes, I wanna float in an ocean as beautiful as this someday.

My favorite child and teenagehood cartoon series!
**Hello, my dear read friends.** It is the second page of 365 pages of the book called life. How is it going?
Well, it is just an ordinary day for us but I am still thankful. We had a long walk this afternoon and on our way home, we passed by a church and saw cartoon character balloons. So we bought Peppa Pig, Chase of Paw Patrol, and a Peppa Pig helicopter.
And I cannot help but recall my favorite cartoon series. Hmm Captain Planet, anyone? I do feel old, lol. I still could remember the line, "Earth, Water, Fire, Heart", and then Captain Planet appears. I like the series because it taught us about the Earth and how to take care of it. I wish there will be Captain Planet 2022.
Do you have favorite cartoon movies when you were young? Can you still feel the nostalgia whenever you hear the titles or see them on Youtube? I do and they always bring me back to my wonderful childhood memories.
Let me share them with you:
**Captain Planet**
I love this series because it gave me an awareness about the Earth, the dangers it is facing, and how to nurture it. I am glad that its characters are teenagers, it gave us a message that our next generation should be taught about the responsibility of protecting our planet as a whole.
**Power Rangers**
We didn't have a lot of channels so I had no choice but to watch until it became my favorite. I wanted to be the pink ranger because the character was good with gymnastics. I like it when the Power Rangers help each other to defeat their enemies and the friendship they had was amazing.
**Ghost Fighter**
I love each character because they were all unique and special. You'd truly understand why someone behaves in a certain way, the pain they went through, and their undying spirit to fight for what they believe in. My favorite character was Dennis. I never liked Alfred before but when I finished the whole series, I appreciated him.
**Julio and Julia**
This was about the twins who were foretold to bring down a tyrant. The empress was threatened so she ordered to remove the twins from the face of the Earth. The twins came from different families, had special powers, and went through ordeals together. I wasn't able to finish the series because I was only watching from my aunt's TV. I think I will search for it in Youtube and see how it ended.
**Princess Sarah**
This is a story about a rich kid who lost her father and became a slave. She still remained kind and generous despite the harsh treatment she received from her former teacher and friends. She did meet people who helped her like her best friend, Becky. Her father's friend didn't give up looking for her so he could look after her. She did leave happily ever after.
I wish I could add more but these are the cartoon series that caught my heart. How about you my friend? Share your favorite cartoon series and let's see if we belong to the same generation lol.
And I checked my profile, I now have 115 subscribers: thank you very much! I just also want to say that I am still accepting sponsorships, if you may. It would be my honor.
To my sponsors, thank you, I appreciate the friendship and your support. I will not be here without you guys. You make my stay here more worthwhile. To my commenters and upvoters, I value your support as well. You guys also make me happy.
I wish everyone a good day.
Love,
Glessa

My 2021 in review!
How are you, my dear read family? I just wanna wish you a Happy New Year again, and to those who are yet to celebrate it, Happy 2022!
I have been so busy the past few days, and my mind seemed to be on holiday because I couldn't write an article lol so I just went online to see what's going on here, commented in a few stories, and upvoted. I also just upvoted articles today, I wish I could comment but I got a baby on my lap. Gotta do things fast!
Nothing happened much in our New Year in the house, I guess we focused more on Christmas but I did make a prosperity bowl though for the New Year. Before we ate, we thanked God for His blessings and prayed for the same this 2022. My mother-in-law then requested us to donate even a little amount to those who have been affected by Odette. We will also be sorting our toys so we can give some of them to the kids. I did not really think that the devastation caused by the typhoon was far wider than Yolanda, but I am glad that the casualties are lower than the previous super typhoon.
Anyways, if you are to review your life, flash it back, how is it gonna be? Is it rated 18+ or for General Patronage? Lol. Mine, I think is rated GP. There was not much violence involved, thank goodness. Here are the most unforgettable events of my life for 2021:
**Saoirse's 1st birthday.**
It was like a breakthrough because she was no longer a little baby where I had to stay at night to feed her. I admit it was really hard for me because I felt like I needed more help. My partner and I seemed like two immature people. The experiences taught me to be more dependent on myself, be more open-minded and patient, and have more perseverance. I also learned the art of tolerance and not giving a damn sometimes.
**My mother's passing.**
The pain of losing a mom is like no other and every day, I ask forgiveness from my mom, I thank her for being my mom and for all her sacrifices and I say I love her. I am not sure if she can still listen to me but I hope she does. As I remembered my mom, I evaluated everything that happened in our lives particularly her influence on my decisions. Her advice was not the best but there are two greatest things she taught me: to always be honest and to tell her where I would go so she won't have to worry about where I am. She did what she thought was best as a mother and I couldn't be more grateful than that. Also, I was able to go home to the province for her wake and burial and I saw my family again. Despite the sad situation, I am happy to be reunited with them even for a few days.
**Returning here in read and noise**.
Yup, I was active in read a year after I gave birth and I didn't give up on noise until I started earning some tips. It was the best decision that I've ever made for the year because the platforms helped me financially and I have met wonderful people that became my friends from around the world. I couldn't be happier, really especially when I won the Christmas challenge by Swanta Ed.
**I got my second-hand laptop.**
I never thought that I could have my own laptop. I am not used to asking for help but when I saw the need to survive, I swallowed my pride and asked my aunt. I am thankful that she supported me and now I am doing the same to her whenever she needs help with Internet stuff. I don't know what would've happened to us if she didn't extend her assistance. I just realized that being strong doesn't mean being independent all the time but knowing when and whom to ask for help.
I am pretty sure much have happened last 2021 but I couldn't think of other situations that taught me lessons other than what I have mentioned. I did have a good, blessed year despite what the pandemic has done to us. And I hope this 2022 will be a whole lot better. I wish we would be able to finally remove our masks and be free to go wherever we want.
My friend, day 1 has started in the 365-page book of our lives. Let us make every day count. We can do this!

Before the year ends, I just want to thank everyone here on read, for being awesome and supportive. May this platform continue to progress and may you all be blessed with more BCH! Happy New Year!
My most favorite movies-both local and international!
**How are you, my dear read friends?** We have been busy for Christmas but since it has already passed, we now have a few days to chill before the New Year.
Before I continue with my article, I just wanna thank these wonderful people from the bottom of my heart for their utmost support, friendship, and kindness. I wish you'll give some time to visit their profiles and read their stories.
Do you like binge-watching? I do, when I have the chance. And just like you, I also have several favorite movies of all time. I watched some of them for the nth time, a few only once but they still left a mark on my heart and mind. I love watching movies with a bag of chips and either juice or soda.
Here are my most favorite movies:
**3 Idiots (Main character- Aamir Khan)**
This is a Bollywood movie about a poor boy who went to school on behalf of a rich kid(pretended to be the rich one). He was the most intelligent kid in his class and he has 2 best friends. The second honor always tries to bring him down.
I love this movie because I could totally relate to the characters and each of them has his own story that teaches us not to judge a person unless we know the battles he fought. It is the best movie for me in all the movies I've watched in my life.
**London has Fallen (Gerard Butler)**
It is the second movie after Olympus Has Fallen where the POTUS (President of the United States) had been kidnapped by the terrorist after killing most of the world leaders.
And the traitor was inside the British Intelligence Force.
I just love Mike Banning.
**Olympus has Fallen (Gerard Butler)**
This is a movie about terrorists taking over the White House trying to remove the nuclear weapons in South Korea and how the POTUS' son was saved by Mike Banning. Despite the tainted relationship between the President and Mike when the first lady died (Mike blamed himself), he didn't hesitate to do what was right.
**Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot)**
She is one of the most badass movie characters who wanted to stop the war by killing Aries the god of War. Her mother tried to protect her from him by hiding her true identity. But the truth was revealed that she was the weapon to kill a god. I loved how she defended those who needed her help. She still believed in love and had faith in humanity despite losing the love of her life.
**Do Re Mi (Regine Velasquez)**
This is a local Filipino movie about an adventure of 3 ladies who wanted to go abroad but were scammed. They lied to their families and pretended to be out of the country and became really good friends until their families knew they were just in another province. Their dreams did come true separately and they reunited through an event. This movie will make you laugh and cry.
**Reign of Assassin (Michelle Yeoh)**
This talks about an assassin who wanted to have a new start in life and who found true love through an enemy. The main character, Drizzle, asked forgiveness for her sins from her husband and tried to make peace with her past by fighting against their leader. I love how true love wins in the end in this movie.
The genres for the movies that I love to watch are action, suspense or thriller. I am not really into romantic-comedy and horror but I did love "Insidious 1" and I watch rom-com from time to time. What are your favorite movies, my friends, and why? Share them through your comment and let's talk!
To everyone, especially my sponsors and subscribers: THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
**Love**,
