wow, this movie really hits close to home. It really shows that life isn't like a movie. There is so much happening in life. It's not just one story. And it also shows just how bad it is when you don't let go and keep sticking to your fantasies in your mind. Love doesn't transcend all things. And that's the reality. The hard part is it's really difficult to accept that. In real life, it's all a part of growing up. Life is more cruel than you think. At most times, the happy ending you're thinking of won't actually happen. But, there's a reason we were put on this Earth and it's that were given time. I'm sure you've heard of the saying "Time heals all wounds". And it's true. You gotta give it time and learn from your actions.

[SPOILERS]
Near the end, we get to see the outcome of Akari and Takaki's different paths in life. Although they both started with young love, Akari has already moved on and is happily engaged with another man. While Takaki is not really doing so well because he still longs for the past. He still wishes to be with Akari again. But luckily, at least with how I interpreted it, I think Takaki finally decides to move on. He finally accepts what life has given him. And he has grown out of it.

This is actually one of my most favorite anime films! It is true that love isn't really like what we usually see in television in films. I really enjoyed watching this. Garden of words is great as well.
